Dont get fooled by online reviews, top vacuum
I was sceptical about this item, coming from an old Vax handheld for about 8 years, which I discovered was about 30AW, dyson is so good and easy to use, my wife is pretty small and skinny so she was struggling even with the V8 , at the end we decided to go for the smallest lighter one without killing our budget, got a nice offer with the argos card for like £250 in total , really happy with the product, suction is top and amazing how light it is. You do not need all the extras but is good to have them and know that they are about 100 pounds more, if you want the latest in budget go for the new V8 cyclone there is a autoempty dock coming later in 2026 but it will by another 150 for sure. overall this one is a 7.5/10 which is more than you need. for carpets and floors, I have a baby also and it does pick up food but obviously there will be better vacuums (more expensive) for that task.

My old Dyson went and I got this one that is a bit smaller , but sill powerful. It’s fine to clean small 2 beds house. I like the bending on the tube to hover under the bed

It is a genuine Dyson product buy Dyson Uk doesnt support it as of yet. You cannot buy any spare parts. Warranty registration can be problematic too.
I have just taken this product back as Dyson uk did not recognise the serial number and I couldnt register for the warranty. I could not purchase a spare battery for this either.

Machine has three modes,
