Overheating in Video Mode
overheating constantly in video mode and don't even need to be recording for that to happen, just have the video output to screen, not fit to be called a hybrid, thermal cut out after 5 to 10 mins, complete waste of time for video.

Happy User!
The menu is quite complicated and takes time to master but other than that I love the camera. Favourite camera so far out of the many cameras I have had over the years (Nikon, Fuji, Sony), The dials buttons and touch screen all work well, and the sensor is a sensible size and quality for the vast majority of needs of an enthusiast amateur like me. The camera is good to hold.

Exceptional
Exceptional without competition in this market segment. I was a photographer lead for a major company in Fl, US for over 7 years before I started my own photography business. At the company we worked with Nikon, in my business I used Canon from before the days of the 5D mk2 (my 1st personal ff - that I own to this day as a collectible - retired), than in the UK I transitioned to Fujifilm (X-T3) and a few other and when I used my friend’s 7mk3 I instantly realised what I was missing on from the competition and the decision to get “the new one” when it comes out was taken then and there. From my Multimedia Computing degree I learned, among others, the definition of “industry standard”. Even if I no longer do professional photography work, with my A7mk4 I am often the guest of honour at events, I’m sure if you know, you know. :) I hope the journey of my photography career brings to you some value and a potential “cheese”. - be blessed and stay legendary!

I’ve had this camera for a few weeks now. I’d previously owned the a6000 and wanted an upgrade. So far so good. It is light enough to be able to carry around all day. The menu is easy to navigate and the tutorial that you can download has lots of useful info. The kit lens is pretty versatile and will do me quite nicely for now. I’d never not buy a Sony camera. Highly recommend,

100% best upgrade
I bought this a month ago after my A7iii breaking and honestly, although the video upgrade is 10 x better. The image quality is so much more crisp. I love that you can connect to the creators app and see the images before importing to your phone.

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
The ILCE-7M4K can't shoot at 1,000 frames per second. Its maximum video frame rate is 120 fps in Full HD. High‑quality video recording and high‑speed continuous shooting generate significant heat, especially in the image sensor. As the internal temperature rises, the camera may shut down automatically to prevent overheating and protect image quality and internal components. You can learn more here: https://cutt.ly/MtTbjft0...
Also, the camera doesn't have a built-in flash. Even if it did, it wouldn't prevent heat.
Additionally, you can find the full specifications here: https://cutt.ly/htTbkzVE...
