Great flat top gas bbq
I love that the top is just a piece of steel, without non-stick coating etc., which is surprisingly difficult to find these days. Seasons up well, and mine became non stick to eggs/pancakes etc. after just a couple of cooking sessions. The burners are well positioned and give a relatively good heat distribution, with some “colder”, but no “cold” spots, which helps during cooking as you have a good selection of cooking zones. The top of the bbq seems to be of relatively good build quality, but the supports and shelves are awful. The bbq wobbles because there’s insufficient bracing, and the shelves are flimsy and aren’t collapsible. I’m going to brace it better when I get round to it, and might even replace the shelves with time. Other issues I had - the piezo ignition didn’t work out of the box for one burner as the cable connector wasn’t finished correctly (easy fix, but shouldn’t be the case for a brand new product), and there was a plastic component missing from the gas knobs (these came in a sealed plastic pack, so must have been missed by the manufacturer). All in all it’s a good bbq, and I’m definitely pleased with it, but it’s expensive for what it is and quality control isn’t the best.

The side shelves on the Blackstone 28-inch Griddle with Hood are not designed to be foldable for storage. However, they are removable, allowing you to detach them when storing the griddle. According to user experiences, the side shelves attach with screws, making them relatively easy to remove with basic tools.

The Blackstone 28 Inch Griddle runs on propane. It is compatible with standard propane tanks, and a 20-pound propane bottle is typically recommended for optimal performance and longer cooking times.
2. Does it include an adapter to connect a gas or propane bottle? If not, what size/type of adapter would they need to purchase?
The griddle includes a propane regulator and hose, so no additional adapter is required to connect it to a standard 20-pound propane tank.
