Good little drone knew what I was buying as I am an areomodeler but even so very impressive only dowm side is I bought the n3 googles to go with it but the controller supplied is no compatible with the googles you need the fpv controller which is £130

1. Power On: Turn on both the drone and the remote controller. Ensure they are within half a meter of each other.
2. Connect to Smartphone: Attach your smartphone to the remote controller and open the DJI Fly app.
3. Linking: In the DJI Fly app, go to the connection settings and select the option to link the controller. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process12.

Hi Rob. Currently the CAA rules are that sub 250g drones with a camera that is not a toy needs to have the owner or operator registered with the CAA. This requires an operator ID number to be placed on the drone that is easy to access. The Neo does not require the additional flyer ID which is an online test that lasts for 5 years after passing it. The Operator ID costs about 11 pounds a year and can be registered on the CAA website. I fly drones myself and have both flyer ID and operator id

I can confirm that the RC-N3 remote within this drone kit can support maximum phone size 180mmH×86mmW×10mmD and I can see that the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 163mmHx77.6mmWx8.25mmD which means it will be compatible. You also need the DJI Fly App downloaded.

The range of the drone is only around 30 metres using a mobile phone, whereas with the controller the range is around 2km.
The drone flies faster using the controller - more than twice as fast - and can turn quicker.
The main reason you want to use a controller though, is because it allows the drone to use the Return-To-Home feature. If you crash the drone and lose it, you can use the controller to find the last known location of the drone, which is not possible with a phone alone.
