Customers Say
Compact, lightweight heater providing quick, efficient warmth with adjustable heat settings and oscillation. Safe with tip-over switch but may not work on thick carpet. Some find the light too bright; generally good value and reliable.

Useful heater.
Useful small heater bought to replace broken one. While they have never felt that robust it now feels even more fragile. The cable length has been shortened so I have to use an extention lead. On saying that it gives a decent heat during a cold summer while the rest of the UK is roasting.

Great money saver
I can’t tell you what a good bit of kit this is. Even on 400w setting had a mate come round and comment how warm my front room was. At 400w really cheap to run and at the £40 to buy it will pay for itself in just a few weeks. Seeing it on my smart meter

Easy to put together.
I bought this Beldray heater a month ago and I'm so happy that I did! We've had a couple of different heaters in the past that were not very good because the tubes didn't last very long, so we had to replace them and chose this Beldray heater from Argos and it was so much better than the rest, My sister bought the same one on our recommendation and we are all happy with the heater.

Cheap to run & safe.
Originally bought a cheap version from online. Returned straight away as soon as cheap & dangerous. Have been using this Beldray one for several weeks- keeps our sitting room so cosy & warm at a very reasonable price using just one of the bars. Much cheaper than using the oil fired central heating. So glad we paid the extra

Good product
We've had several of these in the past and found them efficient and convenient. The only snag was that when an element failed it required a total disassembly of the case to replace it - not an easy task. So very pleased to see that there is now a panel at either side to remove to do this. 4 screws rather than 15 of so. Perfect!

Hey Smbl,
I can advise that as it heats it will radiate and become visually warm.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Cathy,
Having checked, the manual for the Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater does advise:
"Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present".
I hope this helps.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Maxi,
The Beldray 1.2kW Halogen Heater has a tip over switch so if the heater falls over it turns off the heater.
The switch is on the bottom of the heater and for the heater to work it needs to be used on a flat level surface.
Please note: If the heater is used on a deep pile carpet the tip over switch may push through the carpet pile and prevent the heater from operating. If this is the case the heater may need to be placed on a harder surface.
Thank you for using Q&A
