Good little printer
This printer has chugged away like a champ all weekend printing a lot of paper. Ink seems to last for ages and the official black ink from Epson is only 8 quid. Compatible inks are a lot cheaper too. Seems very economical to run. Resolution OK but not tried it on photo paper where it should look nice. Little bit slow but really is only for home use.

I’ve only been using it for a couple of days but what a great little printer! 👍🏼 easy set up and easy to operate, just took a little bit of time to understand Epsom’s stratosphere as I changed from HP! I’m so glad I did. No more restricted cartridges and not being recognised by printer 🫨 Higher initial price but 3 years of ink and half the price to re-purchase more ink than cartridges! 🙌🏼

Set up problems and no AirPrint function
The printing quality is good and also the eco ink design. Set up took a long while and trying to activate AirPrint. Called Epsom and they confined this isn’t an option, can only print from a phone by downloading their app or via WiFi direct. The old printer had AirPrint so this is a surprising back ward step

From my understanding you can only print via the app, which is a pain as our last printer you could print via WiFi The printer is also very slow when printing which is painful when you have a few pages to print

Epsom eco tank printer
Brought this as my old one wouldn't go upto windows 11. Ink should last me a while. Good improvement by the way from putting cartridges in much better. Only downside is the paper bit on another model I saw it had a draw at the bottom like a tray for the paper and although I thought this was the same it doesn't have it you load the paper at the top like my old one but its only a minor thing, as everything else is ok. The speed is ok faster than my old one anyway.

The brand themselves do sell the relevant kit to allow it to be changed so it is technically possible. However, whether you can directly do it yourself would depend on your own skill, but it is possible. However, it may affect the item's warranty if you do.
We'd advise that, if you find are having issues with the device due to the tank/sponge, that you should always seek technical support advice, (you should check your warranty coverage too), first from Epson directly on the best course of action. Not all signs that indicate that it possibly could need replacement actually mean that this is the case. Epson will determine if a replacement is necessary or not.
In terms of the lifespan of the feature, it depends on the level of usage (assuming it's being used correctly and as intended by the manufacturer). Heavy usage might require it being looked at in about 6-12 months but lighter usage may allow it to last 3-5 years.

According to Epson customer services - - - You have to setup using either USB or wifi method, and install software. Then you setup again, using the other method you didnt use the first time, and install software. So may be best to start with USB method at first setup, then wifi method on the second setup. Methods of setup are in instruction leaflet. Downloads are off Epson support site.
