It's screw fit gate. If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below the top level. Two way opening and double locking system. One handed opening and locking. Height 73cm. Fits openings from 63.5 to 106cm. Safety barrier is suitable for use with children up to 24 months of age. It provides protection for them and peace of mind for you.

I don’t like the plastic hinges
Very nice wooden stair gate I purchased 2 . , I think the plastic hinge fittings will not last . The plastic hinge fitting don’t appear to be robust I am sure I will need to replace at some stage .I also don’t like the fitting that secures the gate , it’s also made of plastic .The plastic hinges & plastic securing fittings appear very week .

Almost great, but actually terrible.
This is terrible and would not recommend if you’re fitting into a tight space. It is easy enough to fit, but there is so much play from the fixtures that it can easily wobble a centimetre or more during use. It needs more bolts to make it better. The threads on the bolts are not standard, so you can’t fit an M8 nut to them to counter this. Its also a pig to adjust correctly, as the only way to test is to secure everything in place. If you then need to adjust the bolts on the hinge side, you need to unscrew from the wall, take the gate off, adjust, screw it all onto the wall again and try it out.

These gates are strong and secure, and easy to use. They're relatively simple to install with the guides provided, but you might want a level to guarantee that the guide is vertical which will stop the gate swinging open or closed.. I like how the wooden one looks, and the ability to modify the width of the gate is great.

Very adjustable size
We bought this to reduce the house size for our new puppy and it worked a treat. We live in an old cottage so have non standard door widths and there was plenty of size adjustment options with this.

Good gate
A good product, it does what it needs to do. It could be improved with sturdier plastic wall fittings and plastic covers/ clear sticky pads for the screws to minimise damage against the wall, when the gate is opened.

Impressed
We brought this a few ago and extremely happy with this product. It's sturdy and it was so easy to put up. It looks very well made. It's really good that it doesn't have a bar at the bottom so your not standing on something eventide you walk up and down the stairs. It's extremely safe as well. Everyone in the house hold has adapted to it. It is very good for the price.

a child may be able to climb over or dislodge the gate or enclosure.
