Great safety gate
Bought this as young toddler walking but older child amd dog kept pushing a pressure safety gate over. This one is much better and the natural wood looks much nicer. Simple and easy to fit.

Nice
I found this a little tricky to fit, the drill guide didn't really help much, but now it's in it works fine and the wood looks good. Open/lock mechanism is easy to use one-handed/ whilst carrying a child, once you've got used to it. I'd recommend getting someone to help you fit it/ hold the gate in place whilst you drill the hinges/ lock. The length is adjustable in stages by repositioning the screws, and then by how far the bolts come out for the lock/ hinges. I didn't realise that the hinge bolts adjusted at first and spent a lot of wasted time trying to make it fit.

Wooden Safety Gate
I bought this over a month ago and so happy with the product, easy to put up only thing we needed was a screwdriver. Looks the part much better than the metal ones, matches my staircase nicely. Would definitely recommend.

Sturdy and safe
Sturdy gate. Getting used to the catch. Needed two hands free to open it at first but once I got used to it I can now open it one handed.

Baby gate, works as expected
Strong 14month year old cannot get it open at the top of the stairs, despite trying. The lock mechanism adjustment has come loose a few times needing readjustment - but then again I've only just tried using the actual spanner that came with it. Was box-to-fitted in <10mins (did use an impact driver and was fastening to wood on both sides) Lock works, could be a touch easier to use, we've gotten used to it but it takes a while

Looks really nice when fitted.
Very nice product when fitted. Easy to fit on straight door posts. But was a bit harder when fitting over a skirting board on the side.

Read this review.
Baby stood up, leaned on it, dropped to the ground, leaned on it, rattled it. It opened. He fell headfirst downstairs (10 months old) on Christmas Eve. This is an extremely dangerous device not AT ALL fit for purpose. Next step - possibly suing. He wasn't hurt. But he could very easily have broken his neck.

I can see the manual advises:

Ensure the gate is attached between two clean and solid surfaces.
Ensure appropriate fixings are used for drywall, wood, brick, etc. If wall plugs are provided with the gate and do not secure to the wall
