About this product
A gate that keeps curious climbers from wandering where they shouldn't. This extending wooden safety gate screws securely into place, so it won't budge even when little ones test it. The two-way opening swings both directions, and the double locking system is simple for adults to operate with one hand but tricky for small fingers to figure out. It's suitable for children up to 24 months, and the screw fit design makes it safe for use at the top of stairs.
The extending panels fit openings from 63.5 to 106cm, so it works across doorways, hallways or stairways without leaving gaps. At 73cm tall, it's high enough to contain toddlers who've mastered climbing. The one-handed operation means you can open and lock it while holding a baby or armful of washing. The wide walk-through section gives you room to pass through comfortably without squeezing past. Not worth it!
The gate itself is very pretty and solidly made. However the plastic hinges are very difficult to fit, and bend if you pull back too far on the gate (which my toddler likes to do). The instructions aren't clear about needing to leave enough clearance for the hinges which means lots of micro-adjustments while fitting. Overall not impressed and wish I'd bought a different brand

Just ok
The gates are ok only, we got them as we have a wider stair case, but the fittings are not great the gate feels like it will fall off the hinges when opened.

Steer well clear.
I bought this juat over a week back and think it is a scarily unsafe waste of money. The gate is mounted on weak, thin, unsuitable for purpose plastic hinges that flex alarmingly each time it the gate opens to let you through. I have taken it down and put the old gate back which is hugely inconvenient but safe. This gate is a disaster waiting to happen to the most precious little person in your life. Avoid at all costs.

Stability, fitting and accessibility
The gate looks nice and is easy to open and shut with one hand. Fixing the gate to the wall needs someone with good DIY skills, but easily done if you are good at DIY. Once fitted it is very stable.

Nice quality quite light weight.downside i would not trust the lock or hindges on a landing very flimsy plastic.i used it to stop dog going upstairs so its fine.

a child may be able to climb over or dislodge the gate or enclosure.
