Easy to use, works great.
Decent product. Be aware, if shocking your pool (20-24ft) you have to use all the chlorine granuals at once. I learned this the hard way. But, it works and the instructions are easy to follow.

Hello Dee,
I can confirm that the Clearwater Pool Water Treatment Starter Kit is safe for dogs after the treatments have been used in the water. Do not let any pets come into contact with the raw treatments.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Cfc
Clearwater Pool Water Treatment Starter Kit:
From the information available, the kit will ensure your water is clean and algae-free. It does include Chlorine Granules, that are used as a shock dose.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi, yes it will last you a while. I got mine in May and I still have some left with an eight foot pool. You only need to use the ph plus and minus every now and then as needed and the algaecide once a week. I used the glowing granules on start up and whenever there’s been heavy use of the pool, and other than that I use multifunction tablets in a floater. Pool is lovely and clear. For the first month I just used the granules though and still loads left. It’s a good kit

Hello Hanli13,
The supplier has advised the following for the Clearwater Pool Water Treatment Starter Kit:
“ The chemicals may still be used in a pool without pump; however, the customer must ensure that they have dissolved the chemicals as per the instructions and have stirred/agitated the pool water to allow a good distribution of the chemicals around the pool water leaving the chemicals to work for the amount of time stated on the instructions.
Testing the water must still be carried out as per the instructions. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Emma,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Clearwater Pool Water Treatment Starter Kit: You can use either, as both will give a dose of chlorine.
The tablets are great if you want something convenient, or are going away for a few days/a week and won’t be able to do a daily dose. These shouldn’t be used for a shock dose – you would just need too many of them to get close to the chlorine level needed to spike the water, so won’t dissolve or be cost effective. The tablets are also slow release and not going to give the customer an accurate measure.
I would however recommend the granules every time, as this provides a specific measure and will be easier to balance the levels of the water.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A
Hi Jo,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Clearwater Pool Water Treatment Starter Kit: The chemicals in the starter kits should not, under normal circumstances, damage astroturf.
However, we would recommend all customers should check with the manufacturer of their astroturf on any restrictions of use, that the installation is a suitable base for pools/hot tubs, and follow the correct procedures advised by the astroturf manufacturer for regular maintenance and cleaning of their astroturf to avoid any build-up of chemical and water residue on the turf during normal use of the pool/hot tub.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q & A
Hello Jo,
The supplier has advised the following for the Clearwater Pool Water Treatment Starter Kit:
Without knowing the size of the pool, it is difficult to give an exact answer to answer the question exactly.
There are a couple of variables which will impact how often the chemicals need to be used making it hard to provide a 1 solution fits all answer.
E.g Size of pool / how often the pool is used / whether the pool has a pump or a heater being used (which move the water around dissolving the chemicals more quickly).
However the Pool Treatment Starter Kit includes all the key chemicals to get you up and running and keep your pool water clean.
As a guide to try and help the customer, with a small to medium size pool, if you are to test the water 3 x times per week using the dip sticks then the pack should provide approx. 6 weeks coverage.
Although the chemicals could last longer than this unless heavy treatment is needed to clean the water.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Leah,
This would be suitable for use with a 10ft pool with pumpfilter.
