This microscope provides three different magnifications, from 25x to 100x, to suit a wide range of specimens.
To maximise the precise detail that you see, it features a battery powered illuminator, a mirror reflector, as well as an adjustable focus.
Everything is included to prepare your slides and conduct your studies. There are 2 pre-prepared examples to get you started featuring rose stem and onion skin specimens.
Have fun gathering specimens such as pond water, salt crystals, mould, insects and flower pollen - all are amazing things to examine under a microscope.

Gift for xmas
This microscope , I thought was an interesting and different Xmas gift for my grandson, children are very curious about things, nature and how things work etc, looking at bugs or other small items through a microscope opens up a whole new world for them in seeing things larger than they Have before, noticing for the first time things they hadn't seen, what a great different gift I thought so I bought one for my grandson, it looks good quality and comes with tweezers, slides and other bits and pieces! Good for the price
I bought this for my grandson as we like to explore and collect bugs, leaves and feathers. Good for the price, the lenses are a little stiff to turn, so he couldn’t do this by himself, he’s 5. It comes with some preloaded slides and I’ve already looked at buying more slides as it can be an art to slice things thinly enough to get good magnification through them from the light underneath.

The only thing I found a little lacking, it could do with a bit more weight in the base, young ones tend to try to move it quickly and it dies ripple, but having said that, they will learn. The accessories are ample

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Science Mad Microscope.
The slides supplied with SM54 HD Microscope and SM45 100x Microscope are plastic. The material is rigid and relatively strong.
