Really handy machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little machine. Works a charm, not so much if the grass is too long but it’s great to keep on top of the lawn so it doesn’t get too long. Easy to set up, comes with an app you download and everything you need. Charges fast too which was a surprise. Is a little noisy at times but it’s fine for what it does. Great little machine and good value for money.

Very hard to set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very hard to set up to many parts, didn’t connect to phone at all. Wouldn’t go around my whole front or back lawn kept cutting out and wouldn’t cut properly. Looks nice and like a good product but not the best would rather a non robotic one as would actually get the grass cut and looking nice, this one just teared up one bit of grass and found it didn’t move around out of the space it’s placed.

Complicated set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really looking forward to using this Yardforce MB400 robotic lawnmower and having one less job to do per week. The lawnmower comes well packaged in the box with everything you need to get set up and started straightaway. This includes the charging station, boundary wire, pegs and a protective garage cover. Unfortunately I found the set up more much time consuming than expected and quite complicated. It took me over 2.5 hours to set up by myself with the boundary wire and was difficult to navigate and measure out from the edge of the lawn. Took a considerably amount of time to get the boundary wire positioned correctly, quite a lot of trial and error. The instructions were fairly basic and had to watch the help video that yardforce have on the internet. Without this visual aid I would have really struggled. The mower itself was a bit hit and miss, sometimes went round and round in circles this could be because my lawn is not completely smooth and flat. The app was simple to use and navigate, had a handy scheduling feature and WiFi connectivity was good. The mower does a good job of cutting the lawns, neat and tidy, much quieter than a conventional lawnmower. Great safety feature with a large stop button on the top and when picked up switches off automatically. The biggest factor with this mower is you need a reasonably smooth lawn, not bumpy not like mine. Overall once it’s set up it does a reasonably job of keeping the lawns neat, but I thought it was over complicated in it’s set up process and would have some concerns with the longevity of the boundary wire embedded into the ground .

Okay
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s very time consuming. Took us an hour to figure out how to use it. It’s very complicated to set up. It would have just been easier just to mow the lawn. Now it’s set up it is good. I don’t think it’s worth the price it’s at.

Great product does what it says!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with this lawnmover was overall great, the border wire took some time to set up but once done its done! The adjustment for height of grass is great and also the large red button for emergency’s is great! Mapping worked well and also the rain sensor to map home when sensored is great also!

Not very good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband spent 3 hours to set up, it wasn't very easy to set up. It works but it cut its own wire off after first 2 minutes and it won't work without the wire is set up properly . It wasn't very noisy. Wish it had remote control rather than heavily depend on the wire.

Fell Short of Expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping that this little robot would make my life easier, but sadly it made me want to manually mow the lawn instead. I'll start off with the pros. The robot itself is fairly small and compact. It produces little noise when operating. It comes with a weather resistant hood and some spare parts. The packaging also helpfully provides a cardboard measuring tape for the boundary wire placement. The robot has 3 height settings for the trim. For the cons, much of this may be due to my own misunderstanding of the product but nevertheless, these impacted my opinion of the product. I should start off with the fact that this robot requires a boundary wire in place and needs to be hooked up to (ideally) an external power source. If you don't already have a weatherproof external socket, be prepared for some work to ensure smooth operation, maintenance and storage. My first gripe is the instructions. They were not clear at all. It came with a book with safety instructions and a quick setup sheet. I lost count the amount of times I had to go back and forth between the two to understand how to set up. It is unclear if the robot itself has any waterproofing or resistance. Next is the boundary wire - you have to lay it around the perimeter of your lawn and this gets more time consuming if you've got stuff on your lawn that you need the robot to go around. If anyone has poor knees or back - I wish you luck. Not only this, but you are required to strip the wire and connect it to the dock. Being someone who has never stripped wire before, I had to go find some pliers that I could use to strip the wire, then for a good 30mins figure out how to do it without constantly breaking the wires. You should figure out where to place your docking station as the placement is quite specific. Also note - if your neighbour has the same robot in close vicinity, this robot may not work properly due to interference. Once the boundary wire and docking station is set up, you can connect it to the proprietary app to set up more detailed and scheduled work. Easy enough to connect when you're next to the robot, but once I went inside, the connection was patchy. The robot works quite slowly. It uses 3 rotating blades. I used it on fairly short grass (that needed a trim) during a heatwave when the grass was already dry. The robot moves in its own little pattern - I presume this is the most efficient way to get a consistent cut, however during operation, the robot ended up catching the boundary wire and got caught up in the blades which caused it to malfunction and stop. The app didn't notify me - I only noticed when I checked the app myself, wondering how much it had progressed. As it chewed up the boundary wire, it was no longer long enough to reconnect in the dock, so all my hard work laying it down had gone to waste. It is worth mentioning that it does come with wire repair nodes, but that is far beyond what I expected to do for a robot. Due to the requirements of the boundary wire, the robot never really reaches the edges of the lawn. If I have to cut the edges myself, I might as well just cut the rest myself. All in all, if only this robot was equipped with a lidar sensor instead of a boundary wire, I think a lot of my complaints would be eliminated. It's not the worst product in the world, if you have the time to set it up properly, a flat lawn with no additional structures in the way, and also ensuring neighbours don't use the same product. It technically cuts the grass. Unfortunately for me, this robot just isn't for me.

Good little mower, but not sure it is worth it for a small garden
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a very small, rectangular garden. The grass is ok, but not in the best condition. The lawnmower can definitely handle the slight lumps and bumps and it looks really cool. It’s a chunky thing and feels sturdy. Setting it up was a little bit of a pain, and we felt like there were bits missing in the instructions such as tools that you will need ie, wire strippers/pilers. Also doesn’t mention thing like the bit on the top of the mower is how you change the height of the blade. It was tricky to get the docking station in a position for the mower to easily dock and charge, even though it was flat ground. Also, we found the 30cm excessive, especially when it came to paths as it means it just miss the edge completely so we did lessen this. The battery seems to drain quite quickly, but as we have a small garden it doesn’t impact us. I find the app really temperamental and it always disconnects. It’s not very user friendly, but hoping I can get used to it to set up a better schedule. We have been using it about 3 weeks now and it’s lovely having nice grass but I do always have to faff about with it.

Great little gadget
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So compact and easy to store. Battery lasted long enough to cover my grass area. Saves me so much time because I just set up and it went. It went round my ornaments with ease

Easy setup, quiet operation, app control, and reliable automatic mowing for small gardens up to 400m².
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested the Yard Force MB400 robotic lawnmower and was genuinely impressed with its performance. Setup was simple, and connecting it to the app was quick and straightforward. Once running, it navigated my garden efficiently, cutting the grass evenly and leaving the lawn looking neat and well-maintained. I also recorded a video of the mower in action, and it was great to see how smoothly it moved around obstacles and covered the mowing area. One of my favorite features is how quiet it is compared to a traditional lawnmower, allowing it to work without causing much disturbance. The automatic charging function is also very convenient, as it returns to the charging station on its own when needed. Overall, the MB400 is a reliable, user-friendly, and time-saving solution for anyone with a small garden who wants a consistently tidy lawn with minimal effort.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A
I have this mower when it was on offer in Aldi for 199. No you cant instruct it to mow separate areas. It will just go out at the scheduled time and mow within the boundary wire you lay. If youve laid wire as two separate contained areas youll need to move the robot into that area. If youve laid the boundary wire as one complete area itll
mow within that complete area. Does the job well, would recommend.
Hi There,
Yard Force MB400 Robotic Cordless Lawnmower
Having checked the manual I can see you can instruct the mower to mow different areas at different times.
Thanks for using Q and A.
