About this product
Getting ready for your next hike, camping trip or other outdoor activity? This Cobra model has a compact design with 8+ km (4.9+ miles) range. Voice-activated (VOX) transmission frees hands for other tasks. It has five selectable tones to distinguish between different parties for incoming calls. A total of 1963 channel combinations are available when the 16 channels are combined with the 121 privacy codes (38 CTCSS/83 DCS). These combinations prevent interference from other radios.
Use the VOX mode to for hands-free chatting – the walkie talkie starts transmitting at the sound of your voice.

I bought these last week .they do not work properly .when you switch them on they make a loud sort of scraping noiseeven when they are a long way apart .argos refuse to do anything as I cant find the receipt .can you help

Working OK but not being able to turn off so having to leave the battery compartment open and remove a battery when not in use Currently in Spain so when I return in February / March I shall be returning it to get a replacement or refund

Simple to use with loads of different settings.
This was bought for communications between my wife and myself when I am upstairs and she downstairs, it saves her little legs. Also very handy when she is out with the dog on her daily walks because my wife hates using a mobile. Would recommend.
