Not great
Pretty poor radios. One radio will switch off due to low battery but it's just been charged and showing 2 bars. Range is not great either. These are basically kids radios and you need to use them for 10 mins in the same room, or outside in a field.

Good range in a built up area, good battery life
Obviously less than 8km in a city, but works to talk to my neighbour in the next building. We tested it and it had a couple of blocks' range in a built up area. The battery lasts about 4 days (mostly just on standby, not being used) and charges easily with the same charge as for an older kindle (USB micro B, I think). It beeps to warn you it is running out of battery so you don't forget to charge. I needed to set my station because on the default channel I could hear other people's conversations.
