Fantastic watch! Bought to replace my previous Fitbit which was a few years old and was having to be charged every 2 days. Love the Garmin. All the features are super and after first charge lasted 2 weeks. Glad I’ve changed and can now save the monthly Fitbit subscriptions. Simple and straightforward service in Argos too. Doesn't connect to Spotify
Got an old Fitbit Charge 5 that keeps glitching so decided I'd upgrade. After extensive research I decided on a Garmin Vivoactive 5 because it says you can use Spotify independently, leaving your phone at home on a run/walk (or hotel safe whilst enjoying the pool on holiday), however no matter what I tried it wouldn't connect (not even to control Spotify on my phone). I searched online for hours for a solution only to find many other people with the same issue. I added the Garmin app & checked my WiFi was compatible with their instructions but still no luck. The watch itself is more complex than the Fitbit & personally I think overkill for my needs but seems great quality if you like to monitor fitness/health/sleep & you're not bothered about a music connection. Argos were great accepting a return due to it not doing as advertised. Garmin needs to sort this out & stop doing 'music' edition watches, just fix the existing range as per their product descriptions.

Really happy with the purchase. Easy to use and helps keep track of daily activity. I had an Apple watch previously and the battery was awful, I’ve only charged this once since I got it 2 weeks ago.

GREAT GARMIN WATCH
I decided to update my old Garmin watch with a more feminine look. This is a stylish watch with many features. It was easy to connect to my phone and has a long battery life. i would recommend this watch.

Great for running
Having had a Fitbit Sense 2 for the last 2 years and I’d started my running journey. I wanted something more accurate and easy to use so I looked into which Garmin would suit me best and decided on the Vivoactive 5. It has a great battery life, connects with all my favourite apps, easy to use and understand and keeps great tracking info. Really pleased with it so far. Looks good and has plenty of handy features. I’ve found it far better and more accurate than the Fitbit.

The Vivoactive 5 does have this feature and you can set this up on the watch following the steps below:
From the apps menu on the watch, select Music.
Hold the bottom button.
Select an option:
If this is your first time listening to music, select Settings > Music > Music Providers.
If this is not your first time listening to music, select Music Providers.
Select an option:
To listen to music downloaded to the watch from your computer, select My Music, and select an option (Downloading Personal Audio Content).
To listen to music from a third-party provider, select the name of the provider, and select a playlist.
To control music playback on your phone, select Phone.
If necessary, connect your Bluetooth® headphones (Connecting Bluetooth Headphones).
Select Play.

Exceeding 60ºC (140ºF) may damage the device, and it is recommended to avoid saunas or hot tubs. However, if your hot yoga sessions do not exceed 40ºC, you should be fine. It is also water resistant, so the level of sweating associated with hot yoga also shouldn't be a problem.
