Customers Say
Affordable, lightweight kettle with 1.7L capacity, fast boiling, and good value. Lid often won't stay open, pouring can be tricky, and some report durability issues.

Straightforward kettle.
Bought as an emergency kettle and it does the job well. 1.7 litre capacity; heats quickly and safely. Looks good too.

Danger of scalding
I know it wasn't an expensive kettle but i still expect it to pour boiling water in a controlled fashion, not in a flow wider than the average mug. Makes far too much mess and danger of scalding.

Good basic kettle
This is a cheap basic kettle, big enough for us, and does a good job. price was very reasonable, and it does exactly what it needs to do. Excellent value for money.

Qualified good value
Bought as a replacement for previous model cookworks kettle. Overall, given price paid, its good. However using last one as a yardstick, it a'int so goo. Capacity is the same but power is only 2/3 of previous model. No it doesn't save you money, it just takes longer to boil. Another negative is the baseplate design. Probably due to the traditional type curly element, you are restricted to putting it on base in one direction and the base housing only has one cord outlet. The spout is a bit wide too and takes getting used too and not pouring out too fast or you will spill a lot of water. Basic spout gauze filter should keep limescale in and is easy to remove. As I said overall good value and I would buy again. To me its functional, not a fashion statement

Lid won't stay up
Fine as a basic kettle, but the lid doesn't stay up when for you're filling it or want to let it dry properly, I saw this mentioned on other reviews, thought it'd be fine, but more annoying than i thought it would be
