Value for money.
After cancelling main TV subscription to well known provider my channel listings became cluttered and lacking in choice. Rather than subscribing to new TV package, bought the T4 Freeview Play box. I now have pause rewind forward facility as well as a whole host of channels in desired order. Absolutely value for money.

Better than the telly with all the repeats
Excellent purchase. Could do with a better search facility - Could it be made compatible with a bog standard Bluetooth keyboard? I keep it unplugged and disconnected from the mains and ethernet when not in use.

Incredible Value for Money
It's an excellent piece of kit. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Very user friendly. Easy to set up and incredibly easy to navigate using your remote. No need to waste money on very expensive kit.

Excellent Freeview for not much!
Surprised by how able this device is. It was an input to my Anker projector, where I would like to display freeview channels. Response is excellent, controller is relativly intuitive, and the internet streaming cabablilities look good, although I am not a big streamer. I might have liked a battery operated option, but I can use an external 12V battery with the correct connector to allow operation away from the mains. Did not buy the recording version, but if it works like this,it should be fine.

Decent little box
Our regular set top box died and our smart TV is so old it's no longer smart. This little box gave us decent TV and streaming until our Virgin box was fixed

Great tv box
I bought this as there is no Freeview here so it works really good as I connected it to my sky dish, loads of channels now

Great features and Argos support if needed.
Really fast and reliable and much better than my previous Humax. The functions are the same but accessing them is totally different. It takes time to get used to. My first mistake was not putting battery's in the remote first. Remember you must put batteries in remote first before starting the box and tv. The tv guide is excellent, allowing forward planning to record programs. If there are recording clashes it gives options to record later. If I get a problem I switch to my tv to watch programs without recording while the box records 2 programs. All in all a Great box at a reasonable cost. And with Argos if there is a problem returning is simple.

Hey Andrews,
I can advise that you must connect a TV aerial to the Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box to receive the full range of live Freeview channels.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hey Bazzer,
I can advise that this Manhattan box does have wifi built in.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Shazbat,
Thanks for your query about the Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box.
You can connect it to your aerial for stuff like Freeview, and to Wi-Fi for on-demand TV and more. It is possible to use this without connecting it to an aerial, you'd just not get live TV.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Grailey,
This Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box is a self-contained unit that outputs to a TV via HDMI. As long as your TV can accept an HDMI input it can be used with this box.
That would include a Freely-enabled TV.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Nielly
Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box
The Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box (the standard model) does not support recording, including series recording. It functions purely as a live TV and catch-up device, with features like pause, rewind (up to 90 minutes of live pause), and integrated on-demand apps—but no recording capability via USB or built-in storage.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hey Nanna,
I can advise that the Manhattan T4 doesn't need Wi-Fi to work as a basic Freeview box (watching live TV via aerial), but you do need an internet connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) to unlock its best features like Freeview Play catch-up, on-demand apps (YouTube, BBC iPlayer, ITVX), 4K streaming (in supported apps), and software updates.
Thanks for using Q&A.
