The brilliant Manhattan T4
The TV aerial socket on the back of my TV was broken and unrepairable. The TV otherwise should have many years of life. The Manhattan solved the problem: it connects the TV aerial socket on the wall to the TV via the TV's HDMI, bypassing the need for a TV aerial input on the actual TV. It works superbly and was the easiest gadget to connect. A much cheaper solution than a new TV.

Not much good without an antenna
Very disappointed with this item. If you don't possess an antenna you cannot access the ITV channels as they are not a selection in the ITVX app.

Amazing piece of equipment. Easy as pie to set up and off you go. Normal TV all Freeview channels and also Catch up TV once connected to your WIFI. So easy to set up and watch anything. TV picture is excellent too.

Works well, tuned in and worked immediately. Has a lot of extra channels on top of the normal free to air ones as well. Somehow the picture overall is better than the signal via the normal aerial which makes no sense.

After cancelling main TV subscription to well known provider my channel listings became cluttered and lacking in choice. Rather than subscribing to new TV package, bought the T4 Freeview Play box. I now have pause rewind forward facility as well as a whole host of channels in desired order. Absolutely value for money.

You can connect it to an aerial for Freeview or to Wi-Fi for on-demand TV and more. It is possible to use this without connecting it to an aerial but you'd just not get live TV, i.e. Freeview.

I can advise the following for: Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box.
The Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box (the standard model) does not support recording. It functions purely as a live TV and catch-up device, with features like pause, rewind (up to 90 minutes of live pause), and integrated on-demand apps—but no recording capability via USB or built-in storage.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box.
The box needs to be in line of sight of its remote control in order to operate & work. It will not work if mounted behind the TV.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box: ''Unfortunately, we don't support Netflix and Apple TV and don't have plans to include it in the future. Our focus is on providing a contract-free experience with the best of British telly, and we don't prioritise premium subscription services like Netflix.''

This Manhattan T4 Freeview Play 4K TV Box is a self-contained unit that outputs to a TV via HDMI. As long as your TV can accept an HDMI input it can be used with this box.
That would include a Freely-enabled TV.
