Simple, compact microwave praised for ease of use, good capacity, and value for money. Manual timer and dial markings can be hard to read; some find it noisy. Ideal for basic heating and defrosting needs.

So, so.
No positive positions for timer dial so almost impossible to achieve accurate timings. Also the marks on both dials are difficult to see - I’ve had to stick contrasting markers on them.

Basic but good if you don't want anything fancy
I bought this to replace a more expensive branded one that only lasted a couple of years. I wasn't prepared to spend a lot on one again so went for this basic one. It's worked fine since I've had it(only a couple of weeks so still new). It is basic and the manual timer means its hard to be precise with time. If you just need it to heat up stuff and don't want any frills then this is good value for what's out there.

Hello Kessex.
Cookworks 700W Manual Microwave - Black:
There is no official energy rating (A–G) for any microwave. Efficiency is typically judged by wattage (e.g. 700W) and how the appliance is used, rather than a labelled energy class.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hello Mike.
Cookworks 700W Manual Microwave - Black:
You can place a countertop microwave in an enclosed area, provided there is enough ventilation space for heat to escape. As a general guideline, allow 2–4 inches above, 1–3 inches on each side, and 1–2 inches behind the microwave for safe airflow.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for your query about the Cookworks 700W Manual Microwave - Black.
This is a normal, standard microwave, so it'll function as such in terms of the types of items you can put in it and safely heat up.
For those heated bean bags, it's possible but it's down to the bean bag really as the bean bag needs to be designed to be suitable for heating this way, i.e. made of and filled with materials that can be heated in microwaves. We'd advise to check with the bag's brand/manufacturer for confirming advice before considering use.
For plates, this is not likely to work unless the plate already has something that the microwave can heat up on it. The heat you do get on a plate when warming food comes from the food itself. Microwaves work by emitting microwave energy into items you place in it, food usually, and the heat comes from the way these react with certain types of molecules, e.g. water, in the food. A ceramic plate would not heat at all. Also, some items are not suitable for putting in microwaves so, as with the bean bags, we'd advise to check with the plate's manufacturer first.
Thanks for using Q&A.
