This is the second lot of these bowls I have used. The first ones had green lids nd were quite difficult to open (especially for my elderly mother), but this version has a tab on the lid which is much better. They were really good value, too.

The Pyrex bowls with lids are a must have for any kitchen. They are really good quality and don't take up much room in the cupboard as they nest inside each other. The price on the Argos website was the best price around.

However, they are not specifically designed for use in high-temperature environments like steaming. We would not recommend using them in place of greaseproof paper for steaming puddings.
