The luminous face is a superb feature but there does come a point in the pitch black night when you can't read the time properly but you should be asleep by then anyway.

My son and daughter bought me a Lorus Lumbrite water resistant watch. For my Birthday. So far it is working well. It is well made solid. Has big numbers and the date on it. A good leather adjustable strap. Had my other Lorus watch for 23 years till it stopped working. So chose another lorus watch as there so good.

As the battery is inserted at the factory to check
the function and performance of the watch, its
actual life once in your possession may be less
than the specified period.
Be sure to replace the battery to prevent any
possible malfunction as soon as it runs down. To
replace the battery, we recommend taking the
watch to a local watch retailer

This is done using the side crown which can be pulled out to two click positions. First click allows you to access the date which you need to change to the previous day and date, the second click allows you to set to present day and date by turning the minute hand.
