Rubbish, and that’s not the stuff going in it!
Had a curver bin before and wanted a replacement for new kitchen. Not the same, cheap alternative…..in short the touch bin mechanism didn’t work! Did for a week and then shut it and then pinged open, kept doing that….so it went back and I got a refund. Don’t waste your money.

Beyond pleased
Although bought a while ago, only unpacked this weekend! Oh boy, a real joy. There is an elegance in it's feel and appearance. Easy push button lid and simple retainer rim for waste bag. I would definitely buy again. is there another room in the house I can get one for?

The old model was better,
Bought this to replace an older Curver kitchen bin that had a faulty lid.. The older bin had a removable inner plastic ring that held the lining bag in place. This newer version doesn't have anything that holds the bag in place so will be interesting to see how it goes. A step backwards in my opinion.

Cheap not cheerful
I had it out the box for a couple of hours whilst cooking, every single time I opened the bin. The bag retainer flipped up too, rendering that feature useless. And also making sure to get in the way every time. The mechanism to open and close the bin also felt flimsy, the bin is not overpriced but I had to return it.

Had this for a while no, it replaced an older better version. This seems so flimsy as it fills it distorts and doesn't close properly.

Does what it says
I got this to match (in style ) one we already have but our other one is the black version as our council has recently given us all new wheelie bins for various recycling or not. We now use one bin for plastic and one for paper / cardboard side by side in the kitchen. The grandchildren say “which bin Nannie?” So they are learning to recycle properly as well.

A solution to this particular problem I found, is to make sure your bin bag completely covers the receiving pin on the body of the bin. If you place your bag around this pin or allow the pin to pierce the bag then this will allow the closure to fail and the lid to keep springing open.

The Curver 40 Litre Touch Top Kitchen Bin - Ivory doesn't have an inner bin that you can lift out for cleaning, the bin is a one piece and has a bin liner holder to keep the bin liner in place.

The Curver 40 Litre Deco Touch Top Kitchen Bin, is a physical touch to open, on the top of the bin. This is not a sensor bin, that you wave in front of.

The bin liner attachment is actually fixed to the top lid and doesnt come out to help lift the bag out. It also pulls down when the bag is full and stops the lid closing properly and so it pops open ALL the time! Not a great design change!!
