About this product
This slim black bin is brilliant if you need plenty of space but don't want it to dominate the room. The flat back design fits neatly against the wall, and the 40l capacity gives you loads of room for kitchen waste or household rubbish. The touch-top lid opens with a gentle press when your hands are full, and there's a built-in liner holder that keeps bags in place so they don't slip down. It's lightweight but hardwearing, so it's easy to move around when you need to.
The resin construction has a metal-effect finish that won't rust or dent, and it wipes clean without showing fingerprints. The design is practical for busy kitchens or workplaces where you want something that looks neat and does the job. It comes with a five-year guarantee, so it's built to last. Simple, reliable and keeps everything tidy without any fuss.

Decent capacity kitchen bin
Good sized kitchen bin. We replaced a previous version with this one when the lid broke after about five years use. Only flaw would be the inner ring for clipping the bin bag in place is fixed to the lid mechanism, so a bit more fiddly to put a replacement bag in.

Great Bin
This is the second curver bin we have had, the other lasted 10 years, so didn’t hesitate to purchase another. Good capacity and the fact the bin bag holder is now stretched is a great update. Nice simple shape easy to clean looks nice in our kitchen/diner

Broken Lid Catch
Catch was broken and bin lid does not close - not ideal for a food bin! Will be returning, really disappointed

Great features!!
I am very pleased with this bin which I bought for its estatics and durability. It is a replacement for my previous chrome pedal bin. As it has less moving parts than a pedal bin and a simple touch mechanism instead, I believe it will last a lot longer. The pedal on my previous pedal bin broke not long after I bought it, and its cover fell off eventually. It is made of plastic with a good finish and will not suffer from dents nor show dirt or touch marks like previous chrome bin.

Avoid
I brought this and the touch lid broke within a few days. It’s such poor quality.

A better design than the old model
I had one of these a few years ago until the catch broke. This new design seems to work much better, just a slight touch the top opens! No sign of the catch not closing, just a gentle push the lid closes. Well pleased with my purchase. This is to replace a Homcom sensor bin which was annoying and unreliable. The only thing with this new design is the bin liner retainer which is built in but wrapping it tight round the front solved the problem.

A solution to this particular problem I found, is to make sure your bin bag completely covers the receiving pin on the body of the bin. If you place your bag around this pin or allow the pin to pierce the bag then this will allow the closure to fail and the lid to keep springing open.

Hi Mars
The Curver 40 Litre Deco Touch Top Kitchen Bin, is a physical touch to open, on the top of the bin. This is not a sensor bin, that you wave in front of.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A
The bin liner attachment is actually fixed to the top lid and doesnt come out to help lift the bag out. It also pulls down when the bag is full and stops the lid closing properly and so it pops open ALL the time! Not a great design change!!
Hi MontyDon
The Curver 40 Litre Deco Touch Top Kitchen Bin - Silver has a bag retaining ring which lifts out to remove the bag when full. If you continue to have problems with the bin catch, please contact our customer service team via 0345 640 2020 alternately use our social media or live chat service for further assistance.
