Quality product.
Very bright LED lights. Easily controlled colour/brightness with the App. Grouped with other Tapo products to create various mood lighting. Take your time deciding where to locate the strips, re-applying/moving not recommended.

I’ve been using the Tapo LED strip and honestly, it’s been great. 👍 Pros: Easy to install and set up Bright and colourful, especially the version with multi-zone colours Works well with automations (Tapo app or Home Assistant) Cuttable and strong adhesive backing 👎 Cons: Power supply is a bit bulky Fancy lighting effects are app-only (not available in Home Assistant without extra work) Overall: Great for adding atmosphere and smart control to any room. Affordable, reliable, and does what it says on the tin.

Too complicated
I bought this for my Grandson but we haven't been able to get it to work. It is controlled by smartphone and the app doesn't work. Much better to buy one with a switch.

Easy set up

TP-Link Tapo L900
I have other devices from TP-Link. I found this easy to install and set up, haven't managed to get sound synchronisation to work but that will be down to my home networks. I bought the 10m version which is basically 2 x 5m strips, I was hoping that it would be possible to daisy chain the strips but the power has to connect to each individually meaning the power connection has to be in the middle of the run.

The maximum length of the light strip is limited by the maximum output of the power adapter.
1. The 10 or 20-meter-long light strips are composed of multiple 5-meter-long light strips. The included 5-meter-long light strips do NOT support being connected in series; they can only be connected in Parallel. Models: TapoL900-10, TapoL900-20, TapoL920-10, TapoL930-10, etc.
2. For the light strip whose whole length is 5 meters, it DOES NOT support connecting with the same model of another 5-meter-long light strip. Models: TapoL900-5, TapoL920-5, TapoL930, etc.
