Great volume control + sound quality
Great volume control while maintaining sound quality for sensitive hearing My first experience with noise cancellation, and I like it: It cuts out the wind, the rushing of traffic, the building ventilation, the general hum, but I can still hear when someone’s talking to me or when a car goes by, while also being able to hear my music well without having to turn the volume up. Even without the music on, it’s just so nice and quiet. The volume also goes really low. With my old headphones, when I was working in silent study at the library, the lowest volume setting was too loud. With these ones, you can put the volume super low. At a normal-higher volume range, they’ve got pretty strong bass boosting, which is great for energetic or dramatic music, but when it gets too much you just click the volume down a little and the bass boosting cuts off at a volume that’s still loud enough to enjoy. Similarly, the bass-boosted mid-range volume isn’t too loud and doesn’t feel uncomfortable. I’ve got quite sensitive hearing and worry about damaging my hearing, and with these headphones, I feel like a get good sound quality at healthy, comfortable volume levels.
