About this product
The Silentnight Middleton Divan Bed is designed to organise your bedroom and support restful sleep. It includes a fabric divan base, Merlin headboard, and Middleton memory mattress. The mattress combines 800 pocket springs with memory foam that responds to body temperature and spreads weight evenly, offering pressure relief and back support without feeling too firm. Its medium firm feel helps you sink into sleep comfortably. Four storage drawers built into the base provide space for bedding, clothes or accessories without extra floor space, positioned on both sides for easy access.
The padded fabric headboard adds comfort when sitting up reading or watching TV, with deep vertical lines and a shell-shaped design adding character. Pocket springs work independently to reduce movement transfer between sleepers. The memory foam layer moulds to your body for cocooning comfort through the night. The no-turn mattress design means you only need to rotate it regularly to maintain condition. Plastic castors on the base make moving easier for cleaning. The quilted knit cover adds a soft sleeping surface. Minimal assembly required; two people recommended, headboard fixings included.
The set comes with a Merlin headboard from Silentnight which is a stunningly strutted piece that upholstered in fabric for pure luxury.

Bad design
After receiving this bed and mattress I got to work fitting the headboard, though it says pierce here, the bottom fixings would not screw into the divan, I had to self drill the holes for the fixings and in the process the screws/bolts what ever you want to call them would not go all the way in to secure the headboard to the divan and I tried so hard that the plastic screws were damaged beyond repair. So tbh I'm definitely not happy with the product and I didn't send it back due to the fact I'd be told it was my fault. Waste of money š° š

Solid, well made furniture
This is a very good bed, made by a reputable company (Silentnight) and sol at a reasonable price from Argos. It is comfortable. The mattress is quite firm, although I quickly got used to it.

The headboard can be adjusted to the height of the mattress, as it needs to sit on top of the mattress.
The minimum height would depend on the depth of the mattress.
