Not easy to set up
Having been given an Alexa, I decided to buy a smart bulb and settled on the Tapo L510B and a couple of plugs. Setting up the bulb was beyond me as my wifi was 5G and the bulb required a 2.4G signal. My son had the technical knowhow and finally got the bulb working with the Tapo app by enabling the 2.4G on my phone. He left me to set up a couple smart plugs and Alexa found all 3 devices with no problem. The system now allows me to program security lights remotely.

Brilliant item especially for the darker nights
I bought this and its great to not have to turn light off before I get in bed,just turn it off when in bed,also can turn it on when out with mobile phone and from anywhere in the country so it looks like someone is home.

'Brilliant' smart bulb for the price
This white smart bulb is excellent for the price. I have many Philips Hue bulbs and bought these due to dependability and the fact that they don't make a hissing/whining noise when on. The Tapo bulb is the same but for a much lower price. The Tapo app is very good and combines all smart home products that this company makes. The app also works flawlessly with Alexa so I have complete control over my lights and other Tapo gadgets. If you are looking for a wider range of lumens and variation of white, perhaps consider Hue devices but be prepared to pay much more, with a much poorer app experience.

This is the second one I've purchased and they are well made and easily controlled from the app. I've also got two security cameras by Tapo all bought from Argos. Excellent products.

Best versatile lightbulb.
Great value for money lightbulb. You can vary the brightness of the bulb from 1- 100%. It can be programmed to come on at dusk and off at dawn. It can be programmed remotely to come on & off at random, to make it appear someone is at home. If you have Alexa enabled devices like echo show, you can give it voice commands also.

Tapo cameras support remote control by default without additional setup. As long as the device is connected to the internet and stays online, you can view and control Tapo cameras remotely with Tapo App on a smartphone and other mobile devices.

There is no limit to the number of smart devices that can be managed under a single account, you can have different Tapo models on the same app and same WI-FI, and even if your smart devices are in different locations or connected to different Wi-Fi networks, you can use the same Tapo app to control them if they are bound to the same TP-Link account.
