Great machine
Although I've only had this machine a month (I can't comment on longevity), it has really impressed me. Not only do you get a great crema, the milk frother gets the milk to a very good temperature and with practice you can get some good milk art. I have previously had a Cookworks machine and the milk frother never got it up to the temperature needed, this machine really is a gamechanger . The size of the machine is also great, as it doesn't take up a lot of space. The only negative for me is that you can't get a big cup to sit underneath the portafilter unless you take the drip tray off, but this really isn't an issue. Overall I'm extremely happy with this machine and the coffee it produces.

This is a lovely coffee machine. Nice size fits lovely in my kitchen space, and makes a nice cup of coffee.Good price to.

Just what I needed
Had wanted a coffee machine for a long time, but the choice was offputting. Narrowed my choice down to machines that used ground coffee rather than pods, and with a milk frother rather than milk container to avoid the fuss. Saw a couple of very positive reviews for the DeLonghi, so decided to spend a bit more than I had planned. Couldn't be happier. Found a good coffee brand that goes with the machine (Grind) and have been enjoying delicious coffee ever since. Still getting used to grinding the beans to the right consistency - done them too fine a couple of times, which means the water doesn't percolate through. But I'm sure I will get the hang of it.

Compact and efficient coffee maker
Replaced a previous De'Longhi coffee maker with this updated model. It takes up very little workspace which is great but still produces a good cup of coffee. A little bit noisy as most coffee makers are and, like others people, it has taken a bit of trial and error to get the milk frother to produce a cappuccino style finish, tip don't overfill the jug, less works best. Final remark, there is a small piece of plastic with a small prong to clear out the frother spout, don't throw it away as I did! Pictorial instructions are not great but Argos do have written instructions for this model online which are more helpful. For the price I paid in Argos well worth buying.

Removable Water Tank – Yes, it is dishwasher safe.
Drip Tray & Cup Grille – Yes, these can go in the dishwasher.
Filters (1-cup, 2-cup, and pod filter) – These are generally recommended to be washed by hand with warm water and mild detergent, not in the dishwasher.
Filter Holder (Portafilter) – Hand wash only; do not put in the dishwasher.
Steam Wand & Accessories – Clean manually with warm water and a cloth; not dishwasher safe.

This can now be used with Matcha powder, It Can be used with ground coffee or ESE pods. You may find there to be ESE Pods in a matcha flavour.

The customer will need to use the smaller filter with 1 scoop of coffee and press the button for 1 cup.''

Having looked into this, the difference is the colour. The GY stands for Grey and M is Metal.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised De'Longhi EC885.GY Dedica Arte Espresso Coffee Machine:
The gap between the drip tray and the water spouts is 7cm, without the drip tray the gap is 12cm. Please note larger glasses/cups can be used but these would need to be tilted to get under the spouts
