Bought this as we got a resource dog. Granted we didnt use the cups to screw into door frame but we didnt on our last baby gate we used for around 12 years and it never budges. First day up it came away twice as awkward to open. Fixed bk into place. Really awkward to open. Lots of fiddling around then kept swinging open which was a nuisance. Next my husband forgot and tripped over bottom bar. It came off again. Just rubbish and id thrown all the packaging out otherwise it would have gone back. The annoying thing is that I paid £10 more than for a normal baby gate. Not happy at all

Functional and Useful
I am using it as a stair gate stopping dogs going upstairs. I've put it in position (including one set of extenders) without the sticky pads & screws. It has remained firmly in place. Fixing involves making the top screw adjustments tighter than you would expect to allow the locking mechanism to work. However this is well explained as part of the instructions. The "pull & lift" action to open takes getting used to but after a few test runs it becomes second nature only needing one hand to operate (unless you have bad arthritis). In theory you can use as many extenders as you need as they slot very easily into each other. A standard doorway will not require extenders.
