Easy to mount and looks great
I bought two of these to add decoration to a large blank wall. It's done just that and I'm really happy with the final look. They were easy to mount on the wall, and are simple but effective. The only downside is that they aren't deep enough to be able to overlap frames (unless you have very thin ones), but otherwise I would highly recommend.

Picture perfect shelf
Picture perfect shelf. Just what i needed. Looks great. Was easy to fix to wall but I was surprised that nothing was supplied to fix to the wall. No screws or rawl plugs so I had to get my own. I like the walnut colour and I will probably buy a few more as its much easier than trying to hang a picture.

Shelf is all okay, found the screws that came with it a bit too short so used different ones. The stickers that hide the screw holes could have been a bit bigger too.

V poor quality
This shelf broke in half and the actual shelf part fell away from the piece drilled the wall. I've ended up having to super glue it back to avoid the hassle of returning.

I can advise that a standard, modern Schwartz spice container has a diameter of 4.3cm. This picture rail is 8cm deep, including the front and back lip. Therefore I think it would be suitable.

It could be painted if using the correct paint as it's not lacquered, however in doing so this would void the warranty as it's classed as a modification.
