excellent product
Recently purchased this product as a replacement for an older model. I'm very impressed with this updated model. The slow cooker option is much improved as it achieves a higher temperature than the older model so needs less time. The thing I love most is the temperature probe with the steam airfry function. The joints I have cooked with this function have been perfectly cooked, moist and delicious. Would definitely recommend this model, a must for the busy cook.

Great feature
I brought this to replace my last ninja so much better than I expected so much easier with only one lid

Common fault
I had high expectations for this appliance due to its multiple functions and strong reputation. At first, it worked well and was very convenient for everyday cooking. However, after a short period of use, I started experiencing recurring issues. The device began showing errors such as “pod not inserted” and problems with pressure (“no pressure”), even though everything was assembled correctly and used according to the instructions. These issues appeared intermittently but made the appliance unreliable and frustrating to use. After some research, I noticed that other users have reported similar problems, particularly related to sensors and pressure functionality . This suggests that the issue may not be isolated. While the concept and features are excellent, the reliability is a concern. For a product in this price range, I expected better durability and consistency. In the end, I had to return the appliance through my insurance, which was inconvenient. Conclusion: Great idea and functionality, but reliability issues make it difficult to recommend for long-term use.

Terrible
Never again! I have had two of these. One as a replacement as it was still under warranty. It kept asking me to add pot even though it was already in the cooker. The second one is now doing exactly the same and is now out of warranty. It looks like the pot has gone concave and is not reaching the cooking sensor. Definitely a manufacture error.

Not that great - design faults
On my second one which I relunctanty brought again after 26 month. Does not take an engineer to work out the lid is to heavy and the wires break down, no good after two years of moderate use.

PLUG IN ERROR Known fault
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cooker has stopped working due to the wiring design flaw in the lid that stops registering the probe port. There's many reviews about this and it's well known but ninja do not repair it and insist on a new unit. Even with discount a new unit is hundreds of pounds...

Do not buy
Avoid this Ninja Air Fryer. After normal use, it’s now completely unusable due to the well-known “plug in” error. This isn’t user error — it’s caused by a design flaw where the internal wiring in the hinge breaks over time. The unit then fails to detect the probe cap and will not start, even though everything is correctly in place. This issue is widely reported and clearly not a one-off. It’s a fundamental weakness in the design — wires running through a high-stress hinge were always going to fail eventually. What’s worse is hiding behind a 2-year warranty when the law says otherwise. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be durable and fit for purpose. A product like this failing so soon is not acceptable. It is expected to have a minimum lifespan of 8-10 years. Under UK consumer law, when a product has an inherent fault, the retailer is required to offer a remedy. That means they must repair or replace the item, and if that isn’t possible, provide a refund. Trading Standards guidance is clear — these rights apply even outside the manufacturer’s warranty. I will be pursuing this through legal channels, either via trading standards or getting my bank to issue a chargeback.

The best!
Ninja is the best multicooker we have. Bought in 2020 the old model of this and my family is still using it. Will buy another one as a gift to my family

Excellent Quality and Great Value for Money!
I’m really impressed with the quality of this product. It’s well-made, sturdy, and does exactly what it promises. The design is practical and looks great, fitting perfectly with the space I needed it for. Assembly/use was straightforward and hassle-free, which is always a bonus. What really stands out is how good the value for money is—you’re getting something that feels much more premium than the price suggests. It’s made a noticeable difference and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone considering buying.

Breaks down just after warranty ends!
Bought this 2 years and 4 months ago and shocker... fan goes and needs to be replaced... and I'm just out of warranty. Too expensive given that it breaks down just after warranty. As much as I love it, too expensive to replace given that it'll break down in 2 years time.

Hello MegC,
The supplier has advised the following for the Ninja Foodi MAX 15-in-1 SmartLid 7.5L Multi Cooker Air Fryer:
The proving temperature of this is 35 °C. You don’t directly add steam as such, you add 250ml of water to the pot. The item’s user manual will provide further details as the process may vary between different types of bread/loaves. There's no reference to use of any silicone liners though, it refers to baking parchment. On this basis, we'd have to advise against their use.
Thank you for using Q&A.
