Perfect replacement for Sky Hub
I had grown increasingly frustrated with my Sky Hub router, suffering connectivity problems around the house due to poor range and weird issues with my work VPN (constant video hangs and audio issues despite the in-app troubleshooting reporting no network problems). I did see conflicting advice on the web as to whether this router could replace the Sky Hub completely (or whether it could only act as an access point), but I'm pleased to say that it connected to my Sky Fibre service straight away and has resolved all of the issues I faced (plus several other annoyances which I'd obviously learned to live with). The TP-Link Tether app is absolutely fantastic, making it a breeze to configure (although some advanced settings like IP address reservations can only be accessed via the router's web page). It also provides excellent usage reports and alerting on new device connections.

Solid modern router for the price.
A modern router brought as a switch box to replace one on a home network. Good compromise between price and quality from a mainstream brand.

Excellent Product, Numerous Features, Fast Speed.
After researching multiple products, I went with this one and was definitely not let down (will discuss the reason for 4 stars shortly). The product is very easy to set up and configure, has been reliable for over 4 months now and is great at handling multiple devices. It offers the standard "advanced" functionality out of the box as well as more such as VPN set up and various methods for forwarding and triggering. My setup also utilises the feature of setting up separate networks/SSIDs for smart home automation devices such as Amazon Alexa/Google Home devices. The speed is excellent however the reason for leaving 4 stars is that the range is very underwhelming for a highly rated device like this. My house is a simple 2 up/2 down and there are almost an infinite amount of variables that could affect range so please don't use this to make your decision but coming from a couple of old Virgin Media hubs that never offered WiFi 6, it was disappointing to see that the range of this device barely superseded these devices.

Good Router
Very good product and does what it is meant to do. mAC clonig is really helpful to map it to the isp router. The range is good. The app also helps with having the ability to control the device from your smartphone.

Excellent wifi 6 router
I picked this up to get better wifi speeds that the standard Plusnet smarthub router. At first, the wifi was similar speed to the okusnet, Unttil I enabled the 160mhz band. Wifi rhen hit over 900Mbs which was great. Signal is fiine through the house also.

Works Exactly as it should
TP Link is a very reliable make. I bought this to replace the default router supplied by Plusnet (Hub Two), which was unable to deal reliably with heavy traffic on my domestic network and crashed regularly. This router was recommended to me and my local Argos had it in stock at a heavily dsicounted price,a s well as a code which enabled a further discount. I can't give it any higher praise other than to say "it just works."

Hi,
The Archer AX55 can be used as a router. You need to connect it to the fiber box or modem provided by your ISP to access the Internet. For more information, please check this link.

Thanks for using Q&A.
I think the person is asking if it can use a 4g mobile SIM card. The answer is still no but there are some routers that you can provide for that
The Archer AX55 does not support SIM cards. If you're looking for a camera that supports SIM cards, please check out the link below.

Hello Ash.
After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the TP-Link Archer AX55 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 Router.
Yes, you can connect your Xbox directly to the AX55 — either by Ethernet or Wi‑Fi.
But for the AX55 to provide internet, it must first be connected to your main internet source (the "box on your wall" or your family router)
There are 2 method here: 1) Setup AX55 as main router 2) Setup AX55 as an Access point asking to set port forwarding/DMZ on the main router.
Thank you for using Q&A.
