These were really simple to install and now that they have been tested, I can rest assured that they are quietly working away in the background to keep my home secure. The test alarm is really loud, by the way, so apart from performing a test every so often, I hope that I never have to hear them again!

Pros.
They seem to be solidly made, and each one is covered in it's own dust bag. Comes with Duracell 9 volt battery.
Cons.
The mounting ring is poor, for some reason they have placed the mounting screw holes right by the location lugs. The holes a very, very small and if you don't want to, or can't use the screws provided the slightly larger screw won't allow the unit to be located ( mounted) previous models have the screw holes at 90 ° to the location lugs.
Some idiot in the design process decided to move the.
I used super stick double sided mounting pads, and this seems to work well
