Life changing
It's made such a difference. From the first day of using I noticed how cheery my son woke up, the gradual increase of light starts to bring you gently out of your sleep before the selected birds tweeting begins. I really love this product and I'm buying a second one for my wife and I. The only improvement I would like would be more choice of sounds as there are only 6

Great features
I bought this as a replacement. It has various alarm noises to help wake you in the morning if you don't want the standard alarm clock wake up. I use the gradual day light to help wake me up in the morning and at night there are a variation of coloured lights to create an ambient room atmosphere and to help fall asleep.

Quite bright display
Like others have said the two settings for the clock display are “Staring at the sun” or “OMG my eyes are crispy” so be aware. At full brightness you could keep ships safe at sea up to 5 miles from shore. Thankfully, you can switch the display to “Off” and it does come on with the alarm. Seems reasonably well built. I note it’s the budget model from this company so likely designed to a budget. Fairly happy so far.

The Goats
I bought this a few months back to try and help getting up when the mornings were still dark. It absolutely helps and I've left the light on during the day when it's dark and cloudy or rainy outside to still have warmth in my room. The slow darkness setting at night is lovely too when my partner goes to bed before me. The unsung hero of this product are the alarm options. We have bird song in the background to help us sleep so most of the options for the alarm likely wouldn't have worked for us but there is one that did. GOATS. Every morning we wake up to goats bleating away and it is such a strange and fun way to wake up from the depths of dreamland with BLEEHHHH BLEHHHHH.

Rise and shine... Literally
I bought this a few weeks ago. The light is bright enough to wake me up 20 mins before the alarm time itself. It doesn't feel like a gradual brightness but it does the job and doesn't jolt you awake. I'm happy I bought this alarm.

Digital red numbers too glaring.
I find this one more difficult to control compared to my last one. I like the bird song to wake me. The biggest drawback is the bright red clock numbers. They are far too glaring, despite trying several options to dim them. I have to turn it off, and then have no time to see.

Awful - a waste of money and not fit for purpose.
I wish I’d researched this better before purchasing. This was bought as a replacement to an older but much more sophisticated light and should have fit the purpose it was needed for. The light looks stylish. However the functionality is useless. The display red lights are glaring. Despite two levels of brightness, both levels are ridiculously bright and we had to turn the display off at night. I’ve never had the chance to find out whether the alarm sounds are nice, as the light turns on suddenly as opposed to the gentle sunrise affect our old lamp had. It wakes us up instantly, so much so we had to set the alarm 30 minutes after we want to be woken, to avoid being woken so suddenly. Clearly this lamp’s price point is an attraction, but don’t waste your money. It doesn’t work as described and I’ll be looking for another option as soon as possible.

Our supplier has advised the following for the Lumie Sunrise Alarm Clock -
You can control the display settings on Lumie Sunrise Alarm so you can choose to turn the display light off completely in the night, when the room is dark and all the lights on the clock are off (so after using the Sunset feature). You can also set it to be lit through the night to see the time if you’d prefer.

Our supplier says "We do not suggest using other power cables than those provided with the device. Using other cables will void warranty and could lead to safety issues as we have not safety tested other suppliers. Replacement plugs can be purchased from Lumie.com if needed."

It can be powered by any USB socket but of course that USB socket needs to be permanently on. Ours is powered from a mains plug with multiple USB sockets built in.
The USB lead is about a meter long though I haven't measured it, so you need a socket quite close by or an extention lead. (You can get USB extension leads)
As it's made of plastic it's quite light. At a guess about 250g.

Yes you set the sunrise time like you would on a standard alarm clock. A red dot next to the time means it is set to come on. You can toggle it on or off though if you don’t want it to come on the next morning and you can have a lie-in! As far as I know it’s just a single time-setting though so you couldn’t have it for one time in the week and another at weekends. Hope that helps.

Hi there, thank you for your query. The Bodyclock range work completely differently to our SAD lightbox range and the Bodyclock emits nowhere near as much light as you require to help with all symptoms of SAD.
To receive the maximum benefits you would use a SAD lamp and a Bodyclock together every day.
The Bodyclock can be used for helping you to drift off in the evening and waking in the morning and are designed for helping reset your internal Bodyclock. A SAD lightbox can be used once you are up and awake, you will need to sit in front of the lightbox for 30-60 minutes a day (recommended, however you can sit in front of it for longer if you’d like) which will give you more energy throughout the day, also helping you to feel more tired in the evening. All of our lightboxes are 10,000 lux.

Lumie Sunrise Alarm has built in LED’s so you are unable to purchase replacement bulbs.
The sunrise is automatic and there isn’t a way to use the alarm without this feature. The sunrise starts 30 minutes before your alarm time, gradually increasing to reach full brightness at your alarm time.
