Bought this a few weeks ago after previous one broke, the stand it comes with is great so you can brush at the same time. It's really quiet compared to my previous dryer and the different temperature selections is great, very comfortable if you want to use it in hand rather that with the stand.

Much quieter than my normal hairdryer (which spooked our rescue dog) and it's great to be able to use it hands free - makes the grooming process so much easier and less stressful for the dog.

Bought a few weeks ago. I have a small fidgety dog. The hands free is so helpful, I get 2 hands on the dog to stop him squirming. The low temperature is perfect and it dries him quickly. I wish I'd got it sooner

I have a very grumpy older dog - baths are a big no usually. He loved just lying g down next to the hairdryer on the stand with no human holding it . It also meant he could get dried well , more than he usually tolerates.

I bought this a month ago to dry my puppy safely. It's a great dryer, doesn't scare him and actually brilliant for me too. The stand is useful, but I tend to just use as an ordinary hair dryer. Highly recommend .

Question from Vic
A
Hello Vic,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Wahl Dog And Cat Hair Dryer And Stand: Yes, this can be used with an extension lead.
The cost of running the Wahl Pet hair Dryer and Stand per hour depends on the power setting you choose. we can estimate the cost per hour for each setting as follows:
40 degrees: This setting uses about 44.4% of the maximum power, which is 1800W1. Therefore, the power consumption is about 799.2W. The cost per hour is then 799.2W x 27p / 1000W = 21.58p.
70 degrees: This setting uses about 77.8% of the maximum power, which is 1800W1. Therefore, the power consumption is about 1400.4W. The cost per hour is then 1400.4W x 27p / 1000W = 37.81p.
90 degrees: This setting uses the maximum power of 1800W1. The cost per hour is then 1800W x 27p / 1000W = 48.6p.
Ive had one of these for years, just about to get another. Having to use my hairdryer until I can shop. I can assure you the dog hairdryer is much better as designed specially for animals, so easier to handle when drying dog than a dryer for humans

Hi LivB,
It would depend on the hair dryer that you're comparing it to. The key selling feature is the design which allows the dryer to fit securely into the uniquely designed stand allowing the users hands to remain free to hold or groom the pet.
