Not worth the money
Stated really well but now it doesn’t pump, says it’s full when it’s not. Also it doesn’t pump- I spend nearly an hour to get a tiny dribble. For a product that is so expensive it’s really not worth it and very disappointed.

A complete let down! The pump, not your boobs
I am now in my second pump after the first one was faulty and again I have a pump that doesn’t work. I use it every couple of weeks when I have to leave my baby for medical appointments and need to pump and after fully charging it, it doesn’t turn on. I really like the idea of this pump, but it’s unreliable and has left me stuck without the ability to pump when it really mattered. So disappointing

Overpriced
It is really quiet compared to other pumps. But I had issues with the first pump I brought (battery running really hot and leaving red marks on my skin), then the replacement that was sent would not connect to the app and finally the third one seems to be working. While the customer service from Elvie was pretty good, I can’t understand the £270 price tag - I don’t think it’s value for money and wouldn’t recommend. They only provide 2 flange sizes which means if they don’t fit, you have to buy flanges that do which is an unnecessary additional expense in my opinion.

Best hands free pump!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rechargeable, hands free and compact! You can literally pump anywhere without people noticing! Really easy too clean and easy to use especially with the app.

Absolutely no good!
If I could give this 0 stars I would! As a midwife, I thought I was being sensible by investing in an expensive pump- how wrong I was! It did work OK at first, but from when my daughter was about 1 (bear in mind I only started using when she was 10mo and I went back to work), it just loses suction ALL the time. This means it either doesn’t pump well as there isn’t enough compression, or that milk just spills everywhere while using it. I can still hand express/pump lots with other brands so I know it’s not a supply issue! Even if I use it while completely still and hold it in place it just does nothing most of the time. I’m so so annoyed I spent so much money on this!

Great idea but a few flaws
Bought two weeks ago and like the flexibility of it. I have emailed Elvie about how hot it gets, how long the battery lasts and the accuracy of the milk measurement but haven’t heard anything back. It massively over estimates the amount it’s collected and also the shutdown when it thinks the bottle is full is really annoying because I’m trying to carry on with activities and it continually shuts off. The pump gets extremely hot in my bra and I have to charge it after every use. I was expecting better on all of these first fronts especially for the cost.

Great but with one issue
I bought the pumps on Black Friday sale but my baby was due in Feb. I had emergency C section end of Jan and was on heavy antibiotics with infection. Maybe that is the reason I am not able to produce milk but this pump is literally everything these days. Made my life so easy and less stressful. Obviously had to top up with formula due to supply issues. The only thing is I got 2 pumps one of them doesn’t work properly. So I’m just using one.

Broken after 3 uses
Very disappointed. One of the hubs stopped working after three uses. Completely unreliable when you really need it for travel, etc.

Brilliant
So happy with my elvie pump. It makes expressing so much easier, I've even taken it out with me & noone has noticed me using it. So good to have my hands free!

Elvie actually has a 2 year warranty.
Hi Katherine
The Elvie Single Breast Pump comes with a 12month manufacturers warranty but of course is also covered by the Argos 12 month warranty as well. Each run concurrently.
Thanks for using Argos Q & A.
Hello and thanks for the question.
Elvie Pump has been designed to fit within a standard nursing bra and the cup size makes no difference to how Elvie Pump works.
Getting the right sized Breast Shield is key for comfort and performance. This is based on the size of your nipple only. Each Elvie Pump comes with Breast Shields in two sizes (24mm and 28mm) and a size guide on the Breast Shields themselves so that you can find your best fit. We also have an additional, smaller size (21mm) available separately, if needed.
Hope this helps!
