HANDY BARBECUE.
Im from a country that we love to barbe, I have a large stainless Steel Barbie with all the extras and is always in use within the Family. I needed a small unit, as I said we love to Barbie. But we’re only two people in the Household, I happened to see this small unit in the DIY and thought that’s just what I need, purchased it and now I’ve used it think it’s great and is just right for my use. I can see that it’s gonna get a lot of use and would recommend it for up to 4 people. 👍

Not bad at all
When it's too hot to cook indoors take the cooking outside. This barbecue was simple to put together and I loved that all the hardware came in a printed packet. It wasn't the easiest to undo the perforations but I was still impressed. I fired it up with one of those charcoal in a bag things and the geometry was a bit off meaning that I lost some bits over the sides of the fire tray. With practice it should be simple enough to lay a decent fire in the space a available without losing charcoal down the sides - this is where the star was lost. Super design, especially with the warming rack, and not too huge for our small family. Excellent price and good looking surface finishes so it shouldn't go straight to rust.

A great basic BBQ for 2 People
Used it for the 1st time on the weekend with very satisfactory results.. It is basic with manual vents and charcoal adjustments done by manually lifting handles on the sides. A bit more experience will move results up a notch. We needed a compact simple BBQ for 2 people that was not a complex beast and it does what it says on the tin. Just be aware that when fitting the warming tray the diagonal slanted legs can get locked in a twisted position preventing them swinging out as they should, be bold.

Thank you for contacting Q&A
Hi CB
While coal in its natural state is never used alone in a barbeque or smoker, it can be added to charcoal briquettes to increase the energy density. If cooking food though, there may be problems as it can smell strongly of crude oil, sulphur, petroleum etc.
Thanks for using Q&A
Mine would not stand safely on any surface. Holes in legs and drum not aligned so not all four legs touched the ground! Other quality issues with it and replacement. Returned and went elsewhere.
Hi Lou,
No, this would not be suitable for a glass table.
Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Bob
No sorry it is not recommended to place pans on this BBQ
Thanks for using Q & A
Hi there
Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know they recommend using maximum of 1kg of charcoal briquettes
Thanks for using Q & A
It doesn’t take that much coal. Less then what you would put in a larger drum!... hope that helps?
Not loads as the coal grate is fairly small but I use a split cooking method and only fill half the grate and I cooked for 6 people. You would need to add more coals if you were going to cook for a few hours.
