I bought this watch because I was struck by the large clear numbers and clear uncluttered hands which makes the face really legible. The night light facility came as a bonus as this was an unexpected feature. really good for my poor sight

Fits the bill
My eyesight is not the best so I need to have a watch that is easy to read and simple with no complex additions on the dial. I'd do away with the date as well if I could. I like the ability to illuminate the dial at night. It's relatively cheap as well which adds to the attraction.

Just press the winder and the backlight will come on but will only stay on for as long as you press the winder.

Please check that the side button is pressed all the way in. The time and date need to be manually adjusted the first time and they will automatically carry on as long as the button is in.
