Need to drill through brick for shelves or tackle metal fixings? The Black Decker 500W Corded Hammer Drill powers through masonry, wood and steel. It's got hammer action that breaks through tough materials without hesitation. Variable speed reaches 2900 rpm so you'll match the pace to your project. You'll switch between drilling and screwdriving using the forward and reverse function. The 13mm keyless chuck means quick component changes without extra tools.
The rubber overmould grip keeps things comfortable during longer jobs. You'll drill up to 25mm into wood and 13mm into metal or masonry. The side handle gives you better control when you need both hands. The hammer mechanism delivers 49300 blows per minute for masonry work. Switch off hammer function for gentler drilling in wood or metal. This corded drill provides consistent power for home workshop tasks.

Great value, controllable
Great value for money, very smooth control and the hammer action works well. The drill chuck does need a strong hand to tighten the drill bit enough to prevent it from slipping.

A good alternative for occasional DIY
This is a better option than a rechargeable version for the very occasional DIYer, where it will be stored away for periods of time. It is a much more economic option than rechargeable alternatives. It has worked well both in drilling pilot holes and driving in screws for wood. Chuck works fine. If you manage the cable then it is quick and convenient to use. No case or drill depth measure, but a good price.
