About this product
If you are nervous about slipping when stepping into the bath or need a steadying hand getting out of the shower, these suction grab handles provide a secure hold. They fix in seconds to any smooth surface with large suction cups that lock with a firm, reliable grip. No drilling, mess or waiting for a professional, just press, lock and go. The colour indicator shows when secure and red when they need re-affixing, so you always know they are safe. You can move them between the bath, shower or anywhere else you need support, and remove them just as easily.
Each handle features a lock indicator that changes colour to show when the suction is secure or needs adjusting. The release levers make installing and removing quick and simple - no tools required. The large suction cups provide an extremely strong hold on smooth, non-porous surfaces like tiles or glass. These handles are suitable for use in wet environments including baths and showers. They come as a pack of 2 for flexible placement wherever you need support. This product comes with a 1-year guarantee.

Customers Say
Suction grab handles offer good stability on clean, flat tiles and are easy to install with useful color indicators. However, they often fail on textured or non-tile surfaces and may lose suction over time.

Quick efficient service
It was great to be able to order and collect the bathroom suction handles for the new bathroom, on the same day. Everything is so quick and easy with Argos, so my much preferred go to place 🤩

Rubbish don't buy
Absolutely rubbish, kept falling of the wall even when tiles were cleaned and dried. Only stayed up for a couple of minutes. Tried numerous times but always fell off, just missing my feet. Would not recommend, will be returning them.

Good product
I bought these after a knee replacement and they have been so useful, they provide stability when I am showering, I only use them to keep me stable and don’t put all my weight on them but they make me feel safer and more independent. Excellent quality and I am really pleased with them.

Poor performance
Look good and initial adhesion was fine but fell down after not long. Took them back and got a refund. Purchased a similar product from Screwfix. Does not look as good but has stayed in place so much more practical.

Great to help getting into the shower
Very easy to use and grip firmly on bathroom tiles. They won't work on other surfaces such as a painted wall.

Hello Curious,
The supplier has advised the following for the Suction Plastic Safety Grips - Pack of 2:
"Unfortunately we do not have any information on whether the suction plastic grips would be suitable to use on a bath seat board. Product details specify that they are most suitable for a smooth surface, e.g. tiles."
(On this basis, we'd have to advise they wouldn't be).
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Jo,
The Suction Plastic Safety Grips - Pack of 2 can be used on suitable flat and smooth surfaces (e.g. tiled surfaces). The area that the grab bar is going to be attached to should be clean and dry.
Thanks for using Q&A,
Yes! Just make sure the surface is smooth and don't apply the suckers over the tile edges (Ie grout lines) as this won't give a perfect seal.
Yes. I've found them very useful whilst I was ill 2 years ago. I even used one to stick on the outside of our caravan to assist me with entry/exit. Really good suction power but they will ease off over time, but easily rectified by releasing the suction and reapplying. I give them 10 out of 10 👍
Hi Sadaf,
Yes, this would be suitable.
Thanks for using Q&A
They will grip firmly on any smooth surface. A fridge door shouldn’t be a problem.

Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Tricia,
The Suction Plastic Safety Grips - Pack of 2 are to be used as balance assist only. They are not for body weight leverage so we are unable to advise of a max weight limit for the bars.
Thank you for using Q&A.
They grip very firmly, depending on the surface to which they are fitted - mine are on glossy tiles with a slight ripple. If I pulled seriously hard, it would probably rip the tile off the wall before the vacuum failed on the suction pads. If the load bearing capacity is your number 1 criterion, then you might need to consider conventional grab handles which are fixed through the tiles into the wall behind with appropriate wall plugs.
Hi Win,
No, we would not recommend using the Suction Plastic Safety Grips - Pack of 2 on any other surface other than a smooth tile. Due to the unevenness of wood in the grooves and ridges, air could make its way in to the seal making it less secure.
Thank you for using Q&A.
I have only used them on bathroom tiles where they stick very firmly. They are designed to be used on smooth surfaces so they might appear to stick to a smooth gloss painted wood but I suspect any real force on the handles would then rip the paint away so I would not recommend them in this situation. Hope this helps.
I would think probably not. They might if the wood was smooth and shiny.
Hi Janet,
Yes, providing the tiles are smooth, it will grip mat tiles just fine.
Hope this helps!

The suction cups are quite wide (10 cm across) so they should grip fine on matt tiles as long as they are smooth rather than heavily textured. Ours are on slightly rippled glossy tiles and they stick very well. Always check before use that they are still firm and that the green indicator is showing and all should be OK. It's as well to take them off every now and again and just refit them - a very simple and quick process. Hope this helps.
Yes, I don't think there will be a problem with matt tiles. I do find that the suction lasts much longer (many weeks) if you moisten the rubber suction pads first and push to seal - then pull the lever. I think they are a marvellous product. We only needed one and we still have the spare. Good value.
Hi Dewaltman1,
The Suction Plastic Safety Grips - Pack of 2 are designed to be used on tiled walls and should not be installed on shower doors.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Id have to disagree. I used them on the plastic type smooth shower panels and they kept falling off. This after I thoroughly cleaned, degreased and dried the panels.
They didnt give any confidence and I ended up putting a fixed grab bar in for my elderly Mother.
Hi Bunny,
Yes, providing it has a flat, smooth surface.
Hope this helps!

They will be fine as long as the surface is smooth. The grip is powerful.
