More Than Adequate Cleaning
Purchased to replace my much-used yet beloved NV601UKT. The NV602UKT is much lighter and, to-a-degree, of smaller component dimensions and quality 'feel'. Initial use on carpet and hardfloor cleaning lifted a considerable amount of fibre and dust. The suction power was not quite on par with the NV601UKT, but good enough. The tool locators are positioned such that the Crevice Tool only just fits into place - not as accessible as the NV601UKT. I also miss the fully-adjustable suction slider as found on the NV601UKT; the handle-mounted Min/Max thumb-control is OK but not as variable. The Hose doesn't appear to be as long, although I haven't stretched it out to it's fullest length. In both models the unit will fall over if the hose is stretched beyond a certain limit. It's a pity the new model didn't come with an Upholstery Tool as did the previous one; as a result, unless this (or another suitable) tool is purchased separately, there is now a vacant holder location on the unit; the Pet Hair Tool is not able to be attached to the unit. Also, in contrast to the NV601UKT, the roller is only accessible from underneath, whereas the previous model had a flip-open access-panel. Even though there seems to be a direct evolution in terms of model number they are very different products. There's only myself living in relatively small accommodation (sad, I know), and even though it's early days (unit only delivered the day of writing this review) I suggest that, overall, this vacuum cleaner is more than adequate in respect of cleaning, is light and very maneuverable, and aesthetically pleasing. It needs improvement in respect of tool-holder positioning, roller access and tool option inclusion.

Best hoover!
Always had a different hoover and wasn’t bringing up the hair properly, I should have brought this hoover a long time ago, carpets look new with how good the suction is. Easier to move around and the attachments are helpful.

A perfect Shark replacement.
My wife and I have had one of the first Shark upright cleaners for many years and found it excellent but, sadly it has died. I had no hesitation in looking for a similar model and am delighted to say this Pet seems even better. I love the suction powered revolving brush attachment that makes cleaning the stair carpet so easy. I love the simple control of suction power. I can find nothing I dislike about my new Pet !

Yes, the cable should be long enough for most staircases. The Shark Classic Lift-Away comes with an 8-metre power cord, giving you plenty of reach from a nearby socket. It also features Lift-Away technology, so you can detach the lightweight pod and carry it while cleaning the stairs, rather than trying to balance the full vacuum. On top of that, the hose gives you up to 3 metres of extra reach in portable mode, making it even easier to clean each step comfortably.
The Shark Classic Lift‑Away does not feature Edge‑to‑Edge or DuoClean technology. It is equipped with a standard motorised floor nozzle designed to effectively clean both carpets and hard floors. Edge‑to‑Edge cleaning capabilities are typically found on newer Shark models, such as those in the Anti Hair Wrap or DuoClean ranges.
This model does not have anti-hair wrap capabilities.
The brushroll of this vacuum cannot be completely stopped. By using the hard-floor setting, you can reduce its speed to help prevent damage to delicate carpet fibers or similar materials. We recommend testing the vacuum on an isolated patch before using it on such areas.
This hoover is designed to be used on both normal carpets as well as carpeted stairs.
This vacuum can be used on a wool carpet. For a wool carpet, we recommend using the hard-floor setting because it stops the brush from rotating, thus preventing potential damage to the carpet.

The Shark NV602UKT have a little compartment attached on the motor base where you can store the crevice tool, and the pet brush can be stored in a place that is at your ease, like a cabinet.

Refit both filters. Place the felt filter in first, then the foam filter on top, wash with cold water only, let them air dry for at least 24 hours, and never run the vacuum without both in place.
The NV602UKT is a bagless upright vacuum using a 1.1 L dust cup for debris collection.
