Our supplier has advised that the Johnstone's Shed & Fence Paint 9 Litre and all other Johnstone's shed & fence products are not suitable for use with a sprayer.

"Depending on the nature and porosity of the timber, 1 litre of One Coat Shed & Fence Treatment will cover between 6-12 square metres.
Typical coverage rates: rough sawn timber approximately 6 square metres per litre planed timber approximately 12 square metres per litre."

The supplier has advised the following for the Johnstone's Shed & Fence Paint 9 Litre - Dark Oak:
"Once the product is applied and dry on the surface it is safe to be used around animals. If is a product that is suitable only for previously un-painted and rough sawn timber, if the rabbit hutch is not constructed from rough sawn timber, then this product is not suitable for this application."

This is a paint rather than a wood stain and is designed to be used as a single coat. It is possible to overpaint previously applied paints and stains but would suggest trying a sample area first if possible.
