Form & Function..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The prettiest headphones I have seen, sometimes when you see something so nice you know you will love it. Even the carry case is beautifully designed with a tactile feel every time the catch is lifted but the headphones themselves are just so beautifully designed & made. So how do they perform, as per previous Sony headphones you can just turn them on, do a one time bluetooth sync and they work great, lovely rich sound without much setup straight out of the box...a really nice box!!! Once the first couple of uses are done you are missing out of a lot of functionality if you don't download the Sony headphone app "Sound Connect" Take some time with this as you will only then realise the listening experience can be fine tuned to your lifestyle uses. There are two things which I dislike, I don't like the feel of the chrome/silver buttons when they are operated..it's hard to tell if they have actually done something. My only other minus is the call quality, the incoming sound can feel a bit muffled at times, but I am working on the setup to try & improve this.

Best headphones ever.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All I can say is wow. I have had lots of headphones over the years and these are by far and away the best I have tried. They are comfortable, super stylish made from obviously high quality components and sound great. Get some and enjoy a premium headphones experience.

Simply magnificent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's not often I get amazed by headphones, but the Collexion 1000xx are simply put, absolutely worlds apart from ones I've used before. Let's start with the fundamentals, the build quality is superb, replacing the plastic and metal headwear & hinge assembly with an all metal head rail coupled with metal hinge assembly, all completed with a stunning polished finish. This is paired with an ultra soft headband for a very comfy fit, after hours of use there is not strain or pressure on the head, which can happen often with over ear headphones. The ear cups are finished with a faux leather covering, giving that little bit more luxury look and feel, to an already overall more finished product. Inside the cups are a pair of angled 30mm new drivers made of carbon composite materials, all behind a soft cloth protection screen. The ear cups sizing slide is smooth and firm without clickyness or stiffness, the metal rails helping the correct size stay true. The recycled packaging is of course present and as with all (I believe) Sony products, there is no plastics in any of the packaging yet it's robust and well finished. The headphones are presented in a very nice carry case shaped for easy use and transportation, finished in a colour matched fabric style material. It's a very functional and eye catching design. Obviously the sound quality is what's most important with any headphones and these aren't lacking at all. Upon setting them up and loading my playlist of lossless music covering a wide range from Metallica to Richard Wagner, it was much of the same as any hi end headphones. I set up DSEE ultimate to push non lossless music up in quality, a tool that I feel works better on over ear headphones Vs in ear buds. I set up the connection to prioritise quality over range (obviously some would need higher range but nice to have the option) and of course manually choosing LDAC on the connection codec in order to hear lossless music as intended. Everyone should check they are connected in LDAC Vs AAC, it's night and day difference. Whilst listening I found the music pleasant, with a natural shallow V shape in equaliser sound, a little warm with a very wide stage, much wider than I'd noticed previously. It was at this point I turned on 360 upmix.. and that wide sound stage came alive! All of the sudden the instruments had better separation & the voices had a slight echo that surrounded all around me, it was simply stunning and without any degradation you'd expect from this kind of digital sound manipulation. The upmix options are music, movies, game with a custom option added for background listening. I found movies mode enhanced bass that little bit better and kept the V shape to music I enjoy with classical, dance & metal. Music mode sounds much better I might add with pop style songs, emphasising synth and voices better. I suppose I would liken it to the added boost that ult speakers add with ult modes, it adds that surrounded alive sound in music, like Atmos, but for all music (though it sounds even more spectacular with Atmos or spatial audio) giving music life and feel, noticing little nuances in voices or instruments you've not really noticed before. On the whole, it's hard to find anything but positives about the Collexion headphones, with brilliance found all round, from luxury build quality, to one of the most superb listening experiences I've ever had.

Performance Audio performance is where Sony 1000X The Collexion truly excels. Music sounds dynamic and immersive, with impressive detail across all frequencies. The 360 Spatial Sound Upmix feature adds a noticeable sense of immersion, particularly when watching movies and live performances. Dialogue remains clear while ambient effects and background sounds gain additional space and dimension. Overall sound quality is slightly degraded but some will find these upmix modes a useful addition. Pros Premium design with a very high quality look and feel. Excellent comfort for extended use. Overall good noise cancellation. Clear, balanced, and immersive sound quality. Long battery life with quick-charge support. Easy device switching with multipoint connectivity. Reliable call quality and microphone performance. User-friendly controls and feature packed companion app. Lovely included carry case. Detachable earcups. Cons It's not the cheapest so not for every budget. Some advanced features require app customisation. Noise cancellation although good, is not on par with models such as the WH-1000XM6. No USB C audio unfortunately.

Comfort and Amazing Sound Combined with Clarity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sony 1000xx review First impressions of my new headphones, is that they are constructed very well with premium materials with a very smooth sliding adjustment for the ear cups. Straightforward connectivity through the Sound Connect App that walks you through the set up process. On listening to my first track that was bass heavy the 1000XX had full control with no reverberation when I cranked up the volume, with tight mids and tight trebles, these headphones were in complete control of my listening experience and gave warm but also bright clarity to the sound. With Noise cancelling turned on you're enveloped into a world of your own that blocks out a good percentage of outside noise and with your favourite track or podcast playing then you're totally isolated from the outside world around and can listen intently to your favourite sounds. A highlight of the headphones is the addition of Google Gemini which as most know, ask it anything and you'll get a reply also you can control your smart home with a simple instruction of Hey Google by touching the side of your ear cup. And as an added touch the headphones come in a protective case to keep your valuable asset safe from damage

Sony Collexion 1000X Headphones - so impressive!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Sony Collexion 1000X headphones for a couple of weeks now, and I can honestly say they’ve exceeded my expectations. I have the White headphones (WH-1000XX), from the moment I put them on, I noticed how comfortable they are. The ear cushions are soft, the headband is well cushioned and so well built, and I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. So impressed with the build quality of these headphones. The sound quality is excellent. Whether I’m listening to music, podcasts, or watching movies, everything sounds clear, detailed, and well-balanced. The bass is deep without being overwhelming, while the mids and highs remain crisp and natural. One of my favorite features is noise cancellation. It does a great job of blocking out background sounds, making it easier to focus when working, studying, or traveling. Even in busy environments, I can enjoy my music without distractions. Using these headphones in conjunction with the Sony Sound Connect App, adds to the user experience, allowing customization of so many settings, Noise Cancelling, Graphic Equalizer style adjustment to Bass, Mid and Treble frequencies, Presets for styles / types of listening. Battery life has also been impressive. I rarely have to worry about charging them, and when I do, the seem to charge so quickly, which is incredibly convenient. The controls are intuitive and easy to use, making it simple to adjust volume, skip tracks, or answer calls. Gesture style control on the right ear cup is great to skip tracks and adjust volumes etc., such a good feature to save getting your phone from your pocket each time. The quality of the build feels premium, and the headphones look sleek and modern. They fold easily for travel and come with a sturdy carrying case, which is a nice bonus. Overall, the Sony Collexion 1000X headphones deliver a fantastic combination of comfort, sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable pair of wireless headphones.

Premuim Headphone full of functionallity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having received the Sony WH-1000XX headphones from Sony for reviewing I was immediately impressed by the quality and premium aspects of the headphones. Minimal outer packaging is used and all appears to be recyclable. The headphones themselves are contained within a small case that bears a resemblance to a sandwich toaster. Documentation consists of the usual contact details, statutory notices and a small quick start guide that provides sufficient information to get started with the headphones. A full user guide is available from the Sony website for downloading (103 pages) this contains detailed instructions and guidance of the many features of the headphones. Controls for the headphones are via three physical buttons and a touch sensitive surface on the back of the headphones. The three buttons control (1) on, off and pairing, (2) sound enhancement and (3) ambient sound and noise cancelling). Pairing is not an issue and quickly achieved on Android devices (not tried on IOS). Sound enhancement cycles between standard, music and cinema with a pleasant voice confirmation of the current setting. All three settings provide clear music reproduction with the music and cinema modes providing additional listening enhancements. The ambient noise and noise cancelling switch between allowing external noises to be heard or full noise cancelling which is excellent, when sat next to a radio playing music, using the noise cancelling function completely cancelled out the radio to provide perfectly clear reproduction of my own music. The on and off button also provides spoken confirmation of the battery level when switching the headphones on. Charging is via a USB C socket on the base of one of the earpieces. The touch sensitive surface of the headphone (right) adjusts volume and forward or back for track selection. The headphones can be connected to a phone and allow for phone calls to be taken on the headphones (not tested). The materials used to manufacture the headphones shout quality from the soft leather like material covering the earpieces and headband (nicely padded) to the sandblasted metal linking the earpieces to the headband. The headphones are adjustable to accommodate personal preferences and sit comfortable over the ears without discomfort even fro extended periods. I used the headphones for three hours on the hottest day of the year (so far) without any discomfort. Music reproduction is excellent and highlights previous aspects of music not audible in the past. Using the Sony Sound Connect app allows for a full range of adjustments to all aspects of performance and also allows for updating of the headphones in the future. Would I recommend these headphones? Yes i would, they are a considered purchase, but I am certain that they will provide the user with quality music reproduction for years, anyone looking for quality, functionality and good looking headphones will not be disappointed.

Next level sound quality
Bought this immediately I saw it release because i was considering the xm6 based on a friend's set but these seemed even better, and they have been amazing. Great EQ range, noise cancelling is equal to that of xm6. The reduced battery life which everyone made a fuss about doesn't change anything because they charge so quick.

Most comfortable Sony headphones.
I dont really see much of sound difference between these n xm6, but comfort is on next level.
