The Birlea Phoenix Ottoman Bed gives you a full-size sleeping spot with hidden storage underneath, ideal for compact bedrooms where space matters. It's built with a solid rubberwood frame that's sturdy and long-lasting, while a sprung slatted base adapts to pressure points and keeps your mattress supported. The ottoman opens from the end using gas pistons, so lifting it doesn't take much effort. Inside there's plenty of room to stash bedding, seasonal clothes, or anything you want out of sight. The included headboard completes the look.
The wooden slats flex with movement and spread weight evenly, helping your mattress stay supportive over time. Bed is durable with excellent build quality compared to other similarly priced frames. It is sturdy and worth the effort, assembly can take time and required two people due to heavy parts. Took a bit of time and pressure to get pistons mechanism to work. All good though, highly recommend

Missing parts and weak frame
There was lots of missing hardware. Once I had the right stuff, I discovered that the pistons are very weak. They will not hold up my average weight mattress. So if you want to lift it up, you need someone else holding it whilst you’re putting stuff under the bed. Birlea customer support is atrocious, and the bed arrived over a week late

As described but poor instructions
Overall happy with the purchase, the quality’s as expected and appears solid. Disappointed with the quality and accuracy of instructions and had to use the additional videos available for several steps. Took around 4 hours for 2 people to build due to the instructions issue and need to constantly double check we were using the right parts! Ottoman mechanism not as robust as our last bed but we only need for seasonal storage - wouldn’t recommend if you plan on accessing the storage area daily/weekly.

Poor quality
brought 3 weeks ago and the sides have distorted and every time you lift for storage it all goes out of line. It creaks with the slight movement. Very unhappy with the build quality

Navy blue bed.
I buy this bed a months ago and I fix it all by myself, lovely bed and have lots of space to put on the stuff under. I was sceptic for the colour if will come same as show in the picture but I was so happy when I see the colour is exactly the same.

Such a beautiful bed once built. Reasonably easy to build with 2 people. So much storage space underneath. Had a few issues with delivery and had to wait over 6 weeks.

Lovely bed
Bought for son and husband put it together. Not the easiest thing to put together and my husband has every tool going. It took him about 3 hours in total but the finished bed looked great. I already had the same bed which is why I got this one. You lift the bed up with a strap which I myself found very hard to do. My bed had a handle which was much easier to pull up.

There should be minimal weight when using the ottoman as the gas pistons make it easy to lift.

The mattress size used with the Birlea Phoenix Ottoman Small Double Wooden Bed Frame will be 120 cm wide however the bed frame is approximately 135cm wide.
