About this product
Keeping pets contained without trapped paws or noses matters when you need a quick barrier across doorways or stairs. The Scandinavian Pet Design Guard Me Gate uses folding panels that eliminate pinch points, so no gaps trap curious pets. Its auto-retractable design folds back when opened and tucks out of sight, ideal for tight spaces. Suitable for medium dogs, it fits openings 55cm-89cm wide and stands 74cm high. Made from PVC-free plastic (ABS) and screw-fitted for secure installation.
The double locking system keeps the gate firmly shut while the one-handed mechanism lets you open and close it without juggling shopping bags or a wriggling pet. Two-way opening means you can push through from either side without awkward manoeuvring. The folding panels collapse for storage when you are rearranging rooms or moving house. At 3kg it stays stable once fitted but remains light enough to handle during installation.

Brilliant stair gate
Love this stair gate, its the same as a baby dan but slightly cheaper. It even says baby dan on the info. It retracts right back so u don't have to step over the metal bit that you normally have. Just didn't want an extra hurdle for my older son or for me if I was carrying my baby. Love it

A clever unobtrusive safety gate
Although this gate is expensive and it increased from £65 to £75 within one week (I bought 2) the gate is incredibly easy to fit and fare better than a traditional barred gate. It would benefit from being 10cm higher or even having a taller option available. We use it as a dog gate. Note that it is now less expensive at Pets at Home (£62).

Looks flimsy but it quite sturdy once assembled
I purchased 2 of these gates for top and bottom of stairs and they look really nice when assembled, can also purchase extra parts for wider spaces.

Having checked I can see this is a push button to open. This gate fits openings of 55-89cm so no extension will be needed for a door width of 89cm.

providing it is fitted in a straight line it will be fine.

I had one installed one side was fixed to a door and the other side was fixed to the door frame as the opening was a double door.

The minimum width of the opening is 55 cm. to meet the standards.
