It’s important to change the extractor fan filter and Argos sells them at a reasonable price.

I wish they were plain white filters with markers around the edge that change colour when it's time to change. It's horrible seeing the black pattern through the vents whether the light is on or not. The material is thick enough and seems to be good at absorbing but I don't understand why they're so expensive.

The Argos Home Cooker Hood Filters - Set of 6 are grease filters. Cooker hoods require a circulation filter, such a charcoal, as well. Please check the manual of your cooker hood for more details.

When a cooker hood is vented outside all cooking smells are vented outside however, you can still use these to absorb the grease.

Having checked to see, yes these can be cut down to size to fit a specific cooker hood. These are 57cm x 47cm and should fit hoods of that size or smaller.
