The Wall Clock - Chrome has a plastic frame with a chrome coloured finish. It's not a metal frame.

It's not chrome - a solver colour but not sure what it's made of. Nice looking clock - been in my kitchen and no problems with it.

You may want to consider a digital clock if you want silence?
