Exactly what I wanted
Decently light, the rubber coated handle doesn't get hot and so it's easy to hold this saucepan in the way desired. I've been making a lot of noodle soups with this; I typically make enough to fill a 400-500ml bowl but I think this saucepan has enough volume to make double that amount. the pouring lip was a key reason I bought this saucepan and I'm very glad that so far it's been incredibly helpful for ensuring that I don't make a mess. Overall I'd highly recommend

Good saucepan
Good saucepan especially for the sale price. Nice having a saucepan that can be drained with the lid on.

Pleasing pan.
This saucepan is excellent for making porridge. For stewing plums. So easy to clean. Drain holes in the lid for straining vegetables too. Glad I burnt my last pan. It meant I bought a more useful one instead to replace it.

Robust Pans
I have three of the Argos Home saucepans now, very good quality for not a lot of money and regularly have discounts on the list price. Handles are welded to pan so no screws to come loose and are encased in solid rubber. Pans are deeper than most as well. Very happy with purchase.

Nice quality and weight
Initially purchased two of the smaller pot. Love them, really nice weight and quality. Had to renew our medium pot so luckily this was available. Again, a nice weight. I don’t like really heavy pots.

Just what I was after
Bought as I needed induction. Very good value. Non-stick holding strong so far.

Thanks for using Q&A
Hi Kittyfu,
Yes, the Argos Home 18cm Aluminium Saucepan can be used on induction hobs.
Thanks for using Q&A,
Hi Deccy,
Thanks for your question.
This saucepan is suitable for hob types gas, electric, halogen, induction, ceramic and solid hotplates.
For a guide on the different types of hobs I recommend checking our hob buying guide here, which will give you lots of information:

I hope this helps. :)
I have a ceramic hob and my pan works very well on it. I never have the heat up full however as this would damage the pan. It takes longer to bring things to the boil initially, but ensures the pan is not ruined. You can 'google' the difference between Induction & Ceramic cookers.
Hi Mikey
The material on this saucepan is actually Whitford Xylan (also known as Teflon)
I confirmed this with the supplier for you
Thanks for using Argos Q & A

Hi Susie
