Smart brick brings a whole new dimension to Lego p
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Star Wars mad son was made up to get this Lego set to build and review. It’s a nice size box and build for the price - love the newer packaging and the boxes which have lids instead of completely sealed packaging. This set is from the new Smart Play Star Wars and features a rechargeable ‘ Smart Brick’ which once added to the build reacts to movement to create different sounds. The build was good, not too difficult and once built the tie fighter is nice and sturdy which is great for smaller kids to play with. The set comes with the usb charger and the smart brick just sits on it to charge so it’s simple for kids. It slots into the build once complete and is easily accessible to remove and charge. Set includes Tie Fighter two mini scene builds and two mini figures - darth Vader and a rebel. The interactive element of this build is amazing and brings Lego play to a whole new level. From the flying/ship noises when you move the tie fighter to Vader breathing or the imperial march when you place Vader near the smart brick. It even has knocking mechanical noises when you fix the ship with the added hammer. Love this set and it would be fabulous for all ages. My only bug bear with this set is if you are a die hard Star Wars fan, the sound effects are only similar to the real thing which is a little disappointing but other than that it’s an amazing set which we have added to our collection.

It is a very cool set that makes a lot of sounds it is also very I interactive and if you have the x wing you can make the tie fighter shoot it and it destects and makes explosion noises additionaly it plays well known star wars themes

We love Lego!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Me and my little one had so much fun building this and it’s really sturdy and easy to build the instructions to clear which means it’s built pretty quickly. Only took us about 30 minutes.. there’s lots of little pieces and big pieces but with the instructions it’s really easy to build we love this. My son is a huge Lego fan, so this was a win for us.

Absolute amazing with smart brick
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Lego Star Wars earth vaders tie fighter with the new smart brick set for free from influenster in exchange for my honest review. The set has the new smart brick system that allows the bricks to be connected for sounds and light effects. It is amazing and makes play much more fun. Being a Star Wars fan myself I also love the figures included in the set and enjoyed every minute of building the set. It can be added to other Star Wars set to make a bigger scene. The smart brick can be used with other bricks to create new creations with sound and light effect l. My children absolutely love the smart brick and figures here too and they play with them all the time.

Fun build lego set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Lego set was really fun to build, and my 10 year old loved it. It was definitely a challenge for him as it had over 400 pieces, which kept him occupied for many hours. It has a smart play feature that you set up with your phone, and it's really good as it becomes part physical and part digital. It looks amazing and can be nice to keep on a display cupboard.

Better than expected
Let me start off by saying I’m an adult (30 yr old) Lego collector that has grown up on Harry Potter/ Star Wars and is fortunate enough to have a child (5 yr old) to share/ play Lego with. When I first saw the adverts for smart play, I thought it looked gimmicky and thought the technology looked forced. After seeing initial review I knew I had to try for myself and was very intrigued to see how my son played with it. The build process was great, I built the tie whilst my son built the 2 side builds. The tie is very strong, easy to build and uses great techniques to develop an overall accurate tie fighter. The way the smart brick is physically integrated is great for play but does make it look a bit ugly from some angles. However, the play features and lights/ sounds the smart brick brings I thought were great, and my son absolutely loves it. He’s not even into Star Wars properly yet but loves Star Wars Lego and this is his favourite set now. The smart brick beings enough to the table play wise to warrant the sacrifice in aesthetics. The sound in real life is better than what is heard in videos on line. I think the way the smart brick has been rolled out to customers in the presentation of the packaging, extra material/ instructions etc. has been excellent and feels like a premium child’s toy like Lego usually does. I’m excited to see what else comes in the future for smart play and impressed to see in the smart play app there is update capability for your smart bricks and think this has potential to be a great expansion on Lego child focused play sets m(not so much for collectors) and would love to see some prequel trilogy sets (podracers is a must!!!). I will be exploring more of the smart play Star Wars sets with my son and actually think this was quite good value for money considering the average price point of Lego in recent years. In short, don’t believe the haters who don’t like to see Lego evolving, and I would recommend anyone with kids to give this set a go!
