Finding someone reliable to repair your item, or buying a new one, is an unexpected expense and could be a major hassle. But with protection from Argos Electrical Product Care, provided by the UK's leading specialist warranty provider, Domestic & General, you won't have to worry.
We're proud to say - 99.8% of our customers' claims across Argos Care, were accepted in 2024 (excludes Furniture Care).
What's covered:
- Accidental damage protection - starting from the moment you get your product.
- Unlimited repairs or a replacement - if your product cannot be fixed.
- Breakdown cover - after the manufacturer's guarantee ends (provided the policy remains in force).
- Worldwide cover - your products are covered wherever you are. (claims will be settled in the UK).
- Replacement or vouchers - if we can't repair your product, you'll get a replacement (with same or similar features) or Argos vouchers (an excess may apply).
What's not covered:
Loss, theft, installation costs and cosmetic damage. For selected items over £149.99 (and mobile phones over £100) an excess will apply when making a claim (excesses range from £10 to £100).

Already have household contents insurance?
Your existing policy might offer cover for accidental damage, fire or theft. However, you may find that an excess is payable, and a claim may affect the cost of your subsequent insurance premiums. The policy meets the needs of those who wish to protect goods against accidental damage and breakdown (if relevant).

You do have up to 45 days, from the date you bought your item to purchase the 3 years Accidental Damage and Extended Warranty. Just pop to store, with the items receipt and they will be able to help.

Apologies, no, this is in line with the manufacturing warranty. This has additional cover on top of the manufactures warranty.

Yes, it is possible to transfer your policy to a new owner. Please see link below for terms and conditions, the relevant section is on Page 12. Another option would be to cancel the policy and obtain a refund for the outstanding period. Details of this are in the same document.
