The Shark UV Reveal PowerDetect robot vacuum excels in hands-free cleaning with strong suction, effective mopping, smart navigation, and self-maintenance features. App and multi-floor mapping need improvement.

Second map needed
Good machine, poor app, come on Shark, make a better app, only lets you map downstairs, not everyone lives in a bungalow you know, you can use it upstairs but you have to let it just go off on its own, this is an expensive machine, most of your competitors allow 2 maps in this price bracket. A lot of people I know have asked me what I think of my new machine because they were thinking of getting one, this is the main reason I haven’t recommended it to anyone, simple thing to do, could increase your sales massively.

Great mopping but app needs improvement
Great little machine, but with a few tweaks needed. Before getting this robot vacuum and mop, I had the Dyson spot and scrub AI, which unfortunately was terrible at cleaning my wooden floors. After returning it, I did some research and the Shark model came up favourably. Overall, I can see that the build quality isn’t as robust as the Dyson, but I like that it’s more slimline and isn’t such an eye- sore. The machine is also quiet and the floor mopping is great. The vacuuming is not so good – it leaves the occasional bit of debris behind, but it’s great for day-to-day up-keep and I know I can come home from work and the house looks like it’s been given once over. My biggest gripe is the app - you can see where the robot it but not where it’s been in any detail (the Dyson app - which was still poor by the way - showed you in detail exactly where the robot had been so if it stopped midway, say if it got stuck, you could do a target clean). The Shark app function is minimal, but would be the easiest to rectify. Overall I’d give the machine 7/10 and the app a 4/10

Excellent!
I was sceptical about getting a robot, but it’s fantastic. Simple set up, maps well. Hoovers and mops overnight so the house is clean when we get up. Only wish the cleaning solution had an odour so it smelt like it had been cleaned.

Brilliant!!!
This robot is a gem, second Shark robot vacuum I’ve bought and both are brilliant. Easy to set up and it makes my life so much easier, we have an American Akita and when he blows his coat the hair is everywhere, my robots keep it all under control though. Just love these vacuums!!!!

Slate flooring
I have a significant amount of slate flooring with a few rugs. I wasn’t exactly sure how this would go with the shark, but with the hoovering then having to mop was a real pain which I was sick of as every crumb shows on the dark polished slate. Anyway, can say that my little vacuum/ mop robot is honestly one of the best things ever ( so far & fingers crossed). Cleans brilliantly and am absolutely delighted.

I'm in love with this cleaning marvel
We'd never really thought about getting a robot vacuum before, but when we saw this new Shark version which not only vacuums, but mops as well, we thought we'd give them a try. We have their latest Power Detect Auto Empty cordless vacuum and were impressed with that, so we were looking forward to using the robot version! The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal Robot Mop and Vacuum has genuinely simplified my cleaning routine and has become one of my favourite home gadgets. Setting up was easy to do. Bear in mind you do have to set it up on a hard floor surface, so if all your floors are carpet then this is not the robot for you. This is not made clear in the listing details, but thankfully we have a couple of hard floors on our ground floor where it is located. Both the dock and the robot are pretty big, much bigger than we expected. However, when you think this is a mopper and hoover, it needs enough room in the dock for two water tanks (clean and dirty), plus the dust box. It mapped my home accurately, avoids obstacles, navigation is solid, it rarely gets stuck, and the app makes scheduling easy. It did get stuck against a dining room chair when it was first finding it's way around the house, but after a couple of weeks it now toddles around without any problems. The suction power is stronger than I expected for a robot vacuum, and the PowerDetect feature does a good job increasing suction automatically when it hits carpets or heavier debris. The UV light is surprisingly useful — it highlights dust and crumbs I didn’t realise were there, which makes the cleaning feel more thorough. The mopping function is decent for everyday maintenance. It won’t replace a deep mop, but it keeps hard floors looking fresh. The water control is consistent, and it doesn’t leave streaks. It did struggle with our rugs in the hallway and the kitchen and did get a bit stuck on those, but they are pretty thin, noting of course that My only real complaint is that you can’t seem to put the thing into some kind of standby mode. It’s either always on and draining battery just sat there, or you have to physically turn it off; the first couple of times I did this it lost connection to our wifi which was just a pain in the neck, but has settled down a little bit and does immediately connect. That said, for general upkeep and regular cleaning, it’s reliable, relatively quiet, and easy to use. If you go in with realistic expectations, it’s a strong choice despite it being rather expensive. To be fair I have fallen in love with it and adore the fact that I can set schedules and let it do it's thing early morning, so by the time we get up, the ground floor is sparkly clean.

Loving our new housemate - Tony Shark
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been selected to test this new model of Shark UV robot vacuum, I did not expect any better performance than that I got from my existing, fairly high end, robot vacuum. It knocked the spots off my previous machine. Set up out of the box was quick and simple with a large clear quick-start guidance card. It also has a prominent QR code for the machine app. Once downloaded, it took me minutes to charge and connect the robot to our home WiFi network. It’s recommended you do an initial charge for 4 hours, but I couldn’t wait to try this pretty new piece of domestic kit. It charged to 50% plus, within an hour and off we went! The robot vacuum quickly scanned and mapped the whole single level house finishing within 10 minutes. This had taken my old robo vacuum over an hour, covering every nook and cranny in each room. Tony Shark (our newly christened fave gadget) was able to scan and map rooms far more efficiently. Once the house map was confirmed as correct in the app, we started the first vacuum session. This machine is superb at lifting any dirt and dust, bringing the pile of my carpets and rugs up beautifully. Its cleaning performance beat the old machine hands down. It has chunky, hydrolic wheels to prevent it from getting stuck anywhere, lifting the unit over thresholds and rugs with ease. Noise levels are moderate- you definitely know when Tony is prowling around. The only problem I’ve found is that the app and scheduling functions can be glitchy. I had to return the first model we were sent due to this. I don’t always get notification banners on my phone, and at times Tony ‘forgets’ to go to some scheduled areas. I wonder if the wifi signal in the more distant parts of the house is confusing him. On the whole, we appreciate not having to vacuum and mop as much as we did before. Having received this model for free, to test and review, I highly recommend the Shark RV3000XEUKWH, and would not be without Tony now!

Shark UV Reveal PowerDetect Wet & Dry - Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not unfamiliar with robot cleaners I have another well known robot cleaner (vacuum only) but I have never owned dry and wet vacuum cleaner and I have always wanted one!. When vacuuming the Shark is much quieter than my previous one and definitely looks more sophisticated, it even drops a little bow before heading off to clean! It has a unique UV-powered stain detection mode which is fascinating to watch, it tackles hidden mess which only show under this UV light and it then starts a scrubbing motion! I love the fact it even cleans its own mop! Infact once you have it all set up it can truly be hands-off experience by handling almost all maintenance for up to 60 days. It not only self-empties the dustbin into a bagless container but also automatically refills the robot's water tank and washes and dries the mopping pad with warm air to prevent odour. It also has a built in air freshener so it never smells over those 60 days! Perfect! It has “NeverStuck" technology, which allows the robot to lift its rear to navigate over high thresholds and thick rugs, my old one regularly got stuck and I had to go off and rescue it! I won’t miss that! I few minor points: While its vacuuming performance on hard floors and carpets is generally very good, I was hoping its performance in corners would be a little better than my previous machine, as I have found some debris left behind. On the other hand we have cats and it has kept up really well with the dirty paw prints and cat hairs. Its also early days, so maybe a tweak is needed! Whilst I appreciate the all-in-one functionality for dirt, rubbish and water, the base station is large and tall so you need to think about where this will be long term, it states it cannot be on carpet and obviously it needs to be near a socket. It is expensive, however well worth it if you have a busy lifestyle, children and pets etc! You can fire it up on the app whilst out if someone unexpected is going to drop around! On the whole I would certainly recommend the Shark UV Reveal PowerDetect Wet & Dry Robot Vacuum (RV3000XEUK).

Amazing tech
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this product with some trepidation, we're of that certain age where technology scares us half to death, what if we break it while setting it up? The hefty price tag made us question wether this would be total overkill for us to get the full benefit of its groundbreaking features! Thankfully, we had this gem of a machine set up, app downloaded and running within about 15 minutes, it was stress free and relatively easy even for technophobes like us! We set the machine running to cover the 4 areas in our largish flat. It is mostly carpeted with an area in the kitchen & landing which is hard wood flooring. So as per instructed we set the base unit up from there. The initial test run was largely faultless, the only issue really was a large rug with tassels that it didnt like too much, quite happy to actually replace the rug to be fair. It took about 40 minutes from start to finish. Really liked the self cleaning process, happy with the amount of debris it picked up, so quite powerful for a relative small moving appliance! Over the next few days we experimented with the app to schedule cleaning modes while we were out. All these processes where done without fault with the process from start to finish took about 35 mins. Have to say, we just love this machine, so easy to use and stress free In all honesty, this item would not have been on our shopping list mostly due to the size of our flat & budget. However, we would recommend this machine to anyone with a sizeable house/flat due to the ease of set up, use and absolute reliability of the hoover to clean well & efficiently every time. We've even set up the app whilst away at our caravan to clean up before we get home, genius!

The Shark PowerDetect robot doesn’t use a single fixed suction power figure. Instead, it uses intelligent suction through Dirt Detect technology. This means it automatically increases suction and performs extra cleaning passes when it detects heavier dirt or debris. It also adjusts its suction based on the floor type, so you get the right level of cleaning whether you’re on carpets or hard floors, without needing to change settings yourself
No, the unit comes with two 58 mm side brushes included in the box. These do not physically extend outwards.
