About this product
The Argos Home Tamara Trundle Day Bed gives you flexible seating during the day and sleeping space for two guests at night. There's a pull-out trundle that slides underneath when not needed, keeping the room tidy. It arrives with two rolled single mattresses, so you're ready for overnight visitors straightaway. The grey fabric upholstery fits with most room colours and styles. An adjustable backrest lets you raise it for comfortable daytime seating, then drop it lower for a neat bed shape in the evening.
The trundle pulls out easily when needed and tucks away out of sight when guests leave. Wooden sprung slats support the mattresses and improve airflow. The frame accommodates up to 110kg per sleeping space. During the day you can dress it with cushions and throws to create a comfortable sofa. The upholstered finish is practical for everyday use. Self-assembly required, two people recommended. One year manufacturer's guarantee included.

Its very sturdy and people who said the slats come off they need to be hammered in place they will never come off . its very strong trundle bed very easy to.assemble took only an hour to put up excellent product from argos!

I love this bed. It’s amazing. Easy to put together. Very reasonable price. Did as said and left mattresses for 72 hours to shape up. It is so comfortable and a doddle to pull trundle bed out and slide it back again after use. 100% recommend it.

Great bed but can’t use it - awful chemical smell
I truly like the bed, it was relatively easy to set up (my husband did it himself with no support), great size and very comfy. I was looking forward for my toddler to start sleeping in it however there was such a strong chemical smell - we thought it was from the mattresses. We left the room to ventilate, despite cold weather outside, for a couple of hours. That did not help. We did it again, and again for a couple of days in a row. A tried using bicarbonate of soda per Google advise to get rid of the smell, it did help for the mattresses but what I noticed is that the fabric of the bed now has this horrible chemical smell which isn’t going away at all. So it’s impossible to lie down and hide from it. The bed was delivered around 2nd Jan, we are now 17th Jan. It’s been 15 days and I don’t know how to improve the situation — we simply cannot use it given the chemical smell.

Bed looks nice and steady. However the mattresses are so soft, the moment you sit it just goes all in. And every time you move everything moves. Thankfully I bought it on reduced price so if I have to change mattress I won't feel that bad but still it's money spent on something I thought I bought to be as good as I thought

Slippery slats!
It’s *almost* good. Not bad to put together, looks great, BUT the slats very bendy are held in loosely by plastic covers. They tend to fall through with anything heavier than a child.

Argos Home Tamara Trundle Day Bed - Natural 502/7844 The trundle part of this does has slats on it with gaps in between. We would not advise using the bottom part as a drawer in case something falls through and breaks the mechanisms and slats.
